What are the symptoms of anal abscess and what should you pay attention to?

In life, many people will feel anal pain without realizing it, and many people do not pay much attention to this problem. Anal pain is generally caused by anal abscess. So what are the common symptoms of anal abscess?

Anal abscess symptoms

1. Hard lumps: In the early stage, hard lumps will appear around the anus, which will gradually increase in size and will burst on their own over time.

2. Itching: Due to increased mucus secretions in the anus or irritation from pus around the external opening, it often causes damage to the anal skin or eczema.

3. Pain: Pain is a common symptom of perianal abscess, which is a gradual, persistent swelling or throbbing pain. Patients have difficulty walking and are limited in sitting.

4. Lump: A cord-like lump at the anal margin is often one of the patient's main complaints. If the external opening is closed during an acute attack of inflammation and drainage is not smooth, the lump will increase in size.

5. Purulence: The amount of pus is related to the size, length and number of fistulas. Newly formed fistulas or fistulas in the acute phase of inflammation have more pus that is smelly, yellow and thick, while fistulas that have not healed for a long time have less pus or may appear and disappear from time to time. If pus increases rapidly, there will be local abscessation and increased body temperature.

6. Systemic symptoms: Patients with perianal abscesses will have local redness and swelling accompanied by fever, which is usually low-grade fever, but sometimes high-grade fever, with the patient's body temperature ranging from 37 to 40°C. In addition, patients may also experience loss of appetite, general fatigue, and poor sleep.

Suggestion: The harm of perianal abscess is very great, so when the above symptoms appear, everyone should pay attention to timely treatment. At the same time, everyone should also pay attention to disease prevention in daily life, so as to avoid the harm of this disease. Anorectal diseases are more harmful to patients. After getting sick, you must go to a regular hospital in time and actively cooperate with the doctor for scientific symptomatic treatment. Only in this way can you recover soon.
