Symptoms and causes of male seminal vesiculitis
Prostatitisxt-indent: 2em; text-align: left;">Spermatocystitis, especially chronic seminal vesiculitis combined with chronic prostatitis (spermatocystitis), can easily lead to prolonged course of the disease. Treatment should be persistent. Delayed treatment can cause complications such as secondary infertility, leading to lifelong regrets.

Symptoms of Seminal Vesiculitis

(1) Hematospermia: Hematospermia is the discharge of blood during ejaculation. The semen is pink or red or contains blood clots. In acute cases, the hematospermia phenomenon is more obvious.

(2) Frequent urination, urgency, and pain during urination: In acute cases, urgency and pain during urination are obvious, and dysuria may be seen. In chronic cases, frequent urination, urgency, discomfort during urination, and a burning sensation are the most obvious symptoms.

(3) Pain: Acute cases may cause pain in the lower abdomen, which may also involve the perineum and the inguinal cleft on both sides. Chronic cases may cause dull pain in the suprapubic area, accompanied by discomfort in the perineum. The pain symptoms are significantly aggravated during ejaculation.

(4) Other symptoms: fever, chills, and shivering are systemic symptoms of acute seminal vesiculitis. Hematuria is also a manifestation of acute seminal vesiculitis. Ejaculation pain, low libido, spermatorrhea, and premature ejaculation are seen in chronic patients.

(5) Auxiliary examination: Routine examination of semen can reveal a large number of red blood cells and white blood cells. Routine examination of blood can reveal a significant increase in white blood cells in acute cases. During anal examination of patients with seminal vesiculitis, enlarged seminal vesicles can be felt and accompanied by tenderness. Mild tenderness may also be felt in the lower abdomen, perineum, and suprapubic area.

Cause

① Retrograde infection through the urethra is the most common;

②Prostate infection spreads;

③Infection through the vas deferens;

④ Hematogenous and lymphatic infection. Causes of seminal vesiculitis include Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and diphtheria-like bacteria; it can also be caused by Trichomonas, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
