I believe everyone can understand the meaning of hydrocystic bladder from the literal meaning. It is also called urinary retention in medicine. The specific manifestation is that urine accumulates in the bladder and cannot be discharged smoothly. When urine accumulates to the maximum limit, it is called complete hydrocystic bladder. What is the best way to care for patients during treatment?

Massage and compression

Divide the distance between the pubic symphysis (i.e. the bony protrusion in the lower abdomen) and the navel into 5 equal parts. When urinating, use your fingers to massage the 3/5 point (Guanyuan point) and 4/5 point (Zhongji point) below the navel, and gradually apply appropriate pressure, which can often make urination successful.

Hot compress

Use a hot water bag, heated bricks, or heated sand, wrap it in cloth and place it on the pubic symphysis for hot compress. Or use 500 grams of coarse salt and 100 grams of fennel, heat it, wrap it in cloth, and apply it under the umbilicus to relieve bladder sphincter and urethral spasm and make the urinary tract unobstructed.

Medicinal Bath

Add 60g of sapodilla, 60g of zexie, 50g of raw rhubarb, and two scallions with whiskers to 2000ml of water, boil for 20 minutes, and steam the lower abdomen and perineum while it is hot. When the temperature of the liquid drops to 40℃, take a sitz bath until the urine is discharged and exhausted.

Topical

Take 2 to 3 cloves of garlic, 100 grams of sodium sulfate, 5 scallions, and 1 gram of borneol, mash them into a paste, apply to the "bladder area" under the umbilicus, and wrap it with gauze to fix it; or take 20 snails and 1 gram of borneol, mash them into a paste, and apply to the "Guanyuan acupoint" (3/5 of the umbilicus.)

Enema

If it is caused by constipation, you can take 10 grams of soap and dissolve it in 1000 ml of warm water. Put a rubber tube on the joint of a 50 ml syringe, insert it 12 cm into the patient's anus, and then suck up the soap solution. Push in 700-800 ml, and wait for 5 minutes before defecating. After the rectum is emptied, it can relieve the obstruction of the posterior urethra and make urine discharge smoothly. If conditions are unavailable, you can also go to the hospital to buy enema or make tea with lychee leaves for oral administration.
