For a couple, the importance of both men and women in fertility is very important. So how much does it cost to have a regular sperm examination?

1. What is a routine sperm examination for men?

Sperm is a secretion of the male reproductive system, mainly composed of sperm and seminal plasma. Seminal plasma is the substance and energy source for the survival of sperm, and plays a key role in the survival and physiological function of sperm. The presence or absence of spermatozoa is a sign of whether a man has fertility, but the quality of semen and sperm quality is also an indispensable indicator of male fertility. Sperm testing generally includes routine physical examinations and special tests. Routine semen examinations include: semen discharge volume, sperm color, pH value, sperm motility, sperm motility, optical microscope examination, sperm liquefaction time, etc. Routine semen examination is one of the simple and popular laboratory examination methods in urology, men's diseases, and reproductive departments. In addition, the results of routine semen examinations can only reflect the probability of male patients becoming pregnant.

2. Clinical manifestations

Routine semen testing can be used to:

1. To evaluate male reproductive function, if a single test shows an abnormality and cannot identify the reproductive function, multiple tests should be performed for comprehensive analysis.

2. Sperm testing has practical significance for the diagnosis of male reproductive diseases such as urinary tract inflammation and tumors, and for observing the actual effects of vasectomy surgery.

3. Reference scope of standard values

1. Normal sperm color: Sperm is a milky white viscous liquid.

2. The amount of semen discharged at night is 2.0~4.0Ml.

3. The sperm liquefaction time is 0.5 to 1 hour and then it vaporizes spontaneously.

4. pH 7.5~8.5.

5. The rate of sexual activity at night is >70%.

6. Excellent sperm motility (AB)>50%.

7. Optical microscope inspection
