The acetic acid test is negative; while the latter has lesions not limited to the edge of the glans, mostly single and scattered, larger lesions, rough surface, and mostly cauliflower-shaped, gradually increasing with the extension of the course of the disease, the acetic acid test is positive, and concave cells are found in the histopathological examination.

Penile pearly papules (abbreviated as pearly rash) is a benign disease. Some people may disappear after a certain period of time, while others may remain unchanged for decades.
