What are the prescriptions for premature ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation is a disease of male genitals. Men with this condition will affect the sexual life between husband and wife, so the patient's sexual life is generally not very harmonious, and serious cases will also affect the patient's psychological problems. Therefore, men with this disease are also more troubled. They have been looking for prescriptions in this regard. Let's take a look at the prescriptions for the treatment of premature ejaculation.

1. Clomipramine: This is an antidepressant, but during use, it was found that it can also delay ejaculation. Using a 50 mg dose of clomipramine, taken before bedtime for 8 weeks, the effective rate of treating premature ejaculation reached 58%. After 3 months, the effective rate remained at 52%. The usual dosage is 25-50 mg orally per day, or 50 mg temporarily taken about 1 hour before sexual intercourse, for 8 weeks. Occasionally, there are mild adverse reactions such as thirst, nausea, headache, etc., which generally do not affect the continued treatment.

2. Phenoxybenzamine: This is an α-receptor blocker, which can delay ejaculation by 66% in the treatment of premature ejaculation. The usual dosage is 20-30 mg per day orally, and the specific duration depends on the condition and is not uniform. Occasionally, some patients may have problems with the smooth ejaculation of semen when using this drug.

3. Amphetamine: It is a psychoactive drug, usually used to treat depression. Some patients with premature ejaculation can prolong the time of ejaculation after using it. The usual dosage is 5-10 mg each time, 1-2 times a day orally. It is not suitable for people with high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and neurasthenia.

The above are all prescriptions for treating premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation is not a disease that cannot be treated. So patients should not give up on themselves! Persistent treatment will always be effective. Another point to remind is that when men have premature ejaculation, they must take treatment as soon as possible! Early treatment leads to early recovery.
