What causes testicular pain in men?

The male testicles play a big role in reproduction, and the male testicles are also prone to some bad problems, such as testicular pain. I believe many men have experienced this. If the testicles hurt, then it is a symptom that deserves attention. Male testicular pain may also be a sign of disease, so in the face of such a phenomenon, timely treatment is necessary. Let's take a look at what is going on with this testicular pain:

Orchitis is usually caused by bacteria and viruses. The testicles themselves rarely have bacterial infections. Since the testicles have a rich supply of blood and lymph, they are more resistant to bacterial infections. Most bacterial orchitis is caused by inflammation of the adjacent epididymis, so it is also called epididymo-orchitis. Common pathogens are Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, etc.

Viruses can directly invade the testicles, the most common of which is the mumps virus. This pathogen mainly invades the parotid glands of children, causing "big mouth" disease. However, this virus also likes to invade the testicles, so viral orchitis often occurs shortly after the onset of mumps.

Common types of orchitis include nonspecific and mumps. Any purulent septicemia can be complicated by acute purulent orchitis, and even cause testicular abscess. The pathogenic bacteria are mostly E. coli, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In fact, the most common cause of purulent orchitis is infection caused by the spread of epididymitis, so it should actually be epididymal orchitis.

The symptoms of testicular pain caused by different reasons are also different. Patients with infection have more severe testicular pain. It may even feel like a knife cutting, and it will be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as severe chills. At this time, the scrotum is red and swollen, and the pain is more obvious when the testicles are touched. When suffering from tuberculosis infection, it is often accompanied by a history of tuberculosis in the urinary system or other parts of the body. It manifests as dull testicular pain, a feeling of bloating in the lower abdomen, and scrotal swelling. In severe cases, pus will flow out. When these lesions are touched by hand, there are uneven nodules, hard in texture, and often adhere to the scrotal skin. Testicular pain caused by prostatitis is often accompanied by a swollen and uncomfortable feeling in the perineum, as well as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and difficulty urinating.

The above are the reasons why men have testicular pain. These reasons have a great impact on the male body, and the symptoms of testicular pain in the male body are also a symptom that cannot be ignored. Men with testicular pain should remember to check at any time, because the methods used in treatment are all judged based on the results of the examination. Also remember to take good protective measures when the testicles are painful.
