There is no need to panic about this transient blood in semen, as it can be completely restored by suspending sexual intercourse for one or two weeks.

Bleeding caused by inflammation is usually intermittent, but does not last long. If blood in semen persists and worsens, the possibility of a tumor cannot be ruled out. Individual patients with extensive bleeding tendency in other parts of the body are likely to have systemic hematologic hemorrhagic diseases, such as leukemia and thrombocytopenia, rather than the result of local lesions.

In addition to the factors mentioned above, some diseases such as tuberculosis and seminal vesicle cysts can also cause blood in semen, which must be taken seriously. During the treatment of hematospermia, patients need to pay special attention to their sexual life and try not to have sexual life during the treatment period to avoid aggravating the bleeding.
