Is it better for sperm to be thick or thin?

The number of sperm in men is completely different from the number of eggs in women. The number of sperm released by men each time is in the billions. It is not a good thing for men's sperm to be too thick or too thin. Sperm is stored in the body before it is released. Too frequent sex or some unhealthy sexual lifestyles will make semen thinner. At the same time, when the male reproductive organs are inflamed, the sperm will become sticky.

Before ejaculation, semen is stored in the body in a liquid state. When semen is ejaculated from the penis, it will immediately turn into a milky white or slightly yellow translucent jelly-like state under the action of a protein-like substance secreted by the seminal vesicle. This is the semen property that people usually see. At this time, the sperm is "solidified" in the semen and cannot swim freely. After 5 to 30 minutes, with the participation of a hydrolase secreted by the prostate, the semen begins to liquefy, gradually changing from a jelly-like state to a thin watery state.

This change process of semen has very important physiological significance: it is liquid at the beginning to facilitate semen ejaculation; it forms a gel immediately after ejaculation, which is conducive to the semen staying in the vagina for a sufficient time to allow the sperm to get sufficient rest and energy; once liquefied, the sperm has enough energy to swim quickly and go straight to the egg for a "blind date".

If the prostate or seminal vesicle is inflamed, due to the lack of secretion or damage of hydrolytic enzymes, the semen of these patients may not liquefy or liquefy incompletely for a long time after ejaculation, and some may even take half an hour or even an hour to liquefy. This is a pathological phenomenon, medically known as semen liquefaction.

Infertile patients with high semen viscosity can ejaculate the first few streams of semen into the vagina during ovulation, then withdraw the penis and discharge the second half of the semen outside the body. This can reduce the viscosity of semen, facilitate sperm movement and increase the chance of conception. This ejaculation method is called "step-by-step ejaculation".

If you have sex and masturbate too frequently, your semen will become thinner and its smell will become "bland". If you take a few more days off, your semen will not only become thicker, but its smell will become very strong again.
