As we all know, the number of sperm in men is very large, but some men have very few sperm, or even no sperm at all. This may be due to a problem with the testicles producing sperm, or it may be because the sperm has been killed. There are many factors that can kill a man's sperm, such as high temperature. In addition, the following factors can also cause the death of a man's sperm. How can sperm die? 1. Epididymal dysfunction. Sperm is produced in the testicles and matures in the epididymis. At the same time, the epididymis is also the sperm's running channel, storage place and processing place for aged sperm. Epididymal dysfunction caused by infection, pollution, radiation and other factors will affect the maturation of sperm and cause it to die. This is the most common and main cause of necrospermia. 2. The spermatogenesis function of the testicles is damaged. The spermatogenesis function is affected by factors such as high temperature, pollution, radiation, varicocele, and drugs, which causes sperm production disorders and the formation of a large number of dead sperm. 3. Varicose veins. It is the most common cause of male infertility in China. It not only affects the spermatogenesis of the testicles, but also affects the functions of the epididymis, seminal vesicles, and prostate glands. It increases the rate of sperm deformity, affects sperm motility, leads to a large number of sperm deaths, a decrease in sperm count, and even azoospermia. 4. Produce anti-sperm antibodies. Due to reproductive tract infection, injury, surgery, etc., the man himself produces anti-sperm antibodies, which will have a significant impact on the production and movement of sperm. 5. Inflammation of accessory glands. The components secreted by the seminal vesicles and prostate glands account for more than 95% of semen and provide energy for sperm. Together with the epididymis, inflammation and dysfunction of these three major sex glands will directly affect the maturation and activity of sperm and cause sperm death. It is generally believed that the prostate gland has less influence on sperm motility than the epididymis and seminal vesicles. Some seminal vesiculitis and seminal vesicle obstruction can also cause a large number of sperm deaths. 6. Lack of nutrients. The activity of sperm requires a large amount of nutrients, such as fructose, provided by the accessory glands. When the three major glands are dysfunctional or the sperm nutrients are excessively depleted and cannot provide energy for the sperm, it will lead to sperm death. 7. Idiopathic necrospermia, also known as unexplained necrospermia, has no clinical cause yet. 8. Unhealthy lifestyle. Unhealthy lifestyles such as excessive drinking, smoking, staying up late, depression, anxiety, lack of exercise, wearing tight pants, loving hot baths, and saunas will affect sperm production and motility. In many cases, sperm death may not be caused by a single reason, or the reason may not be found at all. Moreover, there are still considerable difficulties in clinical treatment. Therefore, in addition to symptomatic treatment of sperm problems with clear causes, you should also pay attention to your diet, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and actively cooperate with treatment. |
