Causes of left testicle ptosis

Causes of left testicle ptosis

The male testicle is very important in the reproductive organs. The most important function of the testicle is to pass on the offspring. Without testicles, it is very difficult for men to conceive. Many men often feel that they have a phenomenon of testicular sagging. There are two testicles, one on the left and one on the right. Most of the time, only one of the male testicles has problems. Many men say that their left testicle will have this symptom of sagging. So what are the causes of left testicular sagging?

1. Orchitis. When a man has orchitis, it will cause severe drooping. If the affected testicle is examined, the skin will be red and swollen, the testicle will be enlarged, and there will be a noticeable drooping feeling and pain.

2. Varicose veins. I believe everyone should know that when you have varicocele, your scrotum will have vascular protrusions like earthworms, so the testicles will droop. In addition, varicocele will also cause scrotal enlargement, local swelling, and obvious pain. It is often aggravated by fatigue and the disease will only be relieved when lying on your side.

3. Prostatitis. When you have prostatitis, you will experience abnormal testicular ptosis, and other symptoms include urinary urgency and pain.

Left testicular ptosis is caused by varicocele. Varicocele refers to the obstruction of the venous return of the spermatic cord, valve failure, blood reflux and blood stagnation, resulting in the expansion, elongation and bending of the venous plexus. 95% of cases occur on the left side, and less on both sides. Most people believe that varicocele can affect the occurrence of sperm and the quality of semen and cause infertility. After surgical treatment, some people can restore their fertility. The incidence of this disease is about 20% in ordinary men and about 40% in infertile men. This disease is more common in young males and relatively less common in adolescents. The overall incidence of varicocele in adolescents aged 6-19 is 10.76%, but the degree is more severe, mostly grade III.

Primary varicocele Varicocele is mainly caused by stasis of blood in the varicocele, which is caused by the vertical posture of the person affecting the reflux of the varicocele, the weakness of the venous wall and the surrounding connective tissue, or the incomplete development of the levator testis muscle. The venous valve is defective or incompletely closed, so varicose veins are prone to occur. Recently, it has been reported that varicocele is closely related to masturbation. Wang Anxi reported that the pathological changes in the spermatic vein and blood flow obstruction are mutually causal and affect each other, forming a vicious cycle. Varicose veins can occur separately or simultaneously on both sides of the left and right sides, but the incidence of varicose veins on the left side is higher. The reason is that the left side of the spermatic vein is about It is 8 to 10 cm longer than the right side and enters the renal vein at a right angle, with high venous pressure; the left spermatic vein may be compressed by the colon; the left renal vein may be compressed between the aorta and the mesenteric artery, affecting the spermatic vein reflux, forming the so-called proximal "clamping" phenomenon; the right common iliac artery may compress the left common iliac vein, obstructing the left spermatic vein reflux, forming the so-called distal "clamping" phenomenon.

The above is an introduction to the causes of testicular sagging. When the left testicle begins to sag, it should be taken seriously. If it is orchitis, it will cause great harm to men. If it is varicocele, the chance of male infertility is very high. Timely examination should be done and surgery should be performed if necessary. If one testicle is removed, it will not affect fertility, so don't worry.
