Pain under right chest in men

Male patients experience dull pain in the right chest, which is often caused by a variety of reasons. The most common ones are chest diseases, lung tissue infection, and pleurisy. 1. Costoneuritis: refers to the habitual pain in one or more intercostal areas, which is exacerbated episodically. The causes are often related to the changes in the chest organs (pleurisy, chronic pneumonia, aortic aneurysm, etc.). 2. Sternocostal arthritis: Common in 20 to 40 years old, it is a common cause of chest pain. Because the pain is located in the chest, the cause of the disease is generally related to trauma. When transporting hanging objects, the cartilage of the sternocostal joint is severely twisted or squeezed by the chest, etc., causing subacute damage to the sternocostal joint cartilage, or due to chronic muscle fatigue or viral infection caused by colds, causing edema of the sternocostal joint surface cartilage, and thickening of aseptic inflammatory reactions. The current history may last for several hours or days, but it can flare up, often cured within a few months, and some can last for many years. Common treatments include hot compresses, analgesics, and partial injections of prednisolone acetate.

3. Pleurisy: The most common symptom is chest pain. Chest pain often comes suddenly, and the degree varies greatly. It can be vague discomfort or severe stabbing pain. It may only occur when the patient takes a deep breath or coughs, or it may persist and be aggravated by deep breathing or coughing. Doctors can hear a squeaking friction sound through auscultation, which is called pleural friction sound. Pleurisy has many causes, and further examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis, such as chest X-ray, CT, blood test, etc. After the cause of the disease is confirmed, further treatment is carried out.
