Pain on the right side of the testicle

Pain on the right side of the testicle

The male testicles are located in the scrotum, one on each side. The male testicles metabolize testosterone, which plays a key role in the growth, development and improvement of the male reproductive organs and the appearance of male secondary sexual characteristics. Under normal circumstances, male testicles will not cause pain. If male testicles cause pain, it means that the male testicles are sick and need to be checked and treated in time. The following are:

Orchitis

Orchitis is a common cause of testicular pain. There are many causes of orchitis. For example, patients with influenza or mumps are more likely to suffer from orchitis, which can cause testicular pain and swelling.

Testicular torsion

Testicular torsion is one of the common scrotal diseases. It can occur in newborns to 70-year-olds, with 65% occurring in 12-19 year-olds. It usually occurs when there is strong activity a few hours before the onset of the disease, or when the male testicles are subjected to external force.

Testicular injury

The male testicles are very active in the scrotum and are protected by a strong white membrane, so they are less likely to suffer traumatic damage. Most testicular injuries are related to violence, car accidents, etc.

Male testicular ischemic pain

Male testicular ischemic pain is common in the elderly. The pain is severe, aggravated by activity, and relieved by rest. Semen microscopy is normal. It is often caused by sclerosis of the male testicular artery, resulting in aortic stenosis. Atherosclerosis of the male testicular aorta is usually a partial manifestation of systemic vascular disease, with unilateral disease more common on the left side than on the right side.

Therefore, the treatment of testicular pain should be carried out on the basis of clarifying the cause of the disease. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the male testicles are closely related to the liver meridian, and their pain is related to liver disease. For damp heat in the lower part of the body, the treatment is to clear away heat and dampness, resolve turbidity and stop pain. For the treatment of damp cold stagnation type, it is advisable to warm the liver and dispel cold, promote dampness and promote qi. The treatment of qi deficiency and blood stasis is to promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, regulate qi and stop pain. The treatment of spleen and kidney deficiency is mainly to strengthen the spleen and replenish qi, promote yang, nourish the kidney and strengthen yang. In addition, for those who cannot find the cause for the time being, sedative and analgesic medication can be used. If necessary, closed therapy can be used.
