Winter Skin Care Guide for Men

Winter Skin Care Guide for Men

As the temperature drops in winter, the body's metabolic capacity gradually decreases. The skin becomes tight and dry due to the decrease in sweat glands and skin glands secretion and the loss of more water. Therefore, skin care in winter is extremely important. If you do not pay attention to careful maintenance, the stimulation of cold wind and the use of heating will make your once bright skin become dull and rough, lack elasticity, and produce wrinkles.

The correct skin care guidelines are:

1. Rehydrate the body: Drink enough water to avoid dry skin caused by lack of water. The amount of water you drink is 6 to 8 cups a day. You can also drink fruit juice, mineral water, tea, etc.

2. External hydration: Bathing can keep the skin surface moisturized; steam fumigation can reduce moisture dissipation. The water temperature should not be too high when washing your face or bathing, and products with weak fat removal ability and strong moisturizing ability should be selected. People with dry skin should prepare a set of moisturizing skin care products, including at least a bottle of moisturizing day cream and night cream, and try not to use or use less gel-type facial cleansers when washing your face. For those with severe dryness and roughness, you can also prepare a bottle of high-concentration moisturizing essence and a high-moisture mask, and use them 1 to 2 times a week to deeply hydrate the skin.

3. Regulate emotions: People's mental state and psychological changes are controlled by the cerebral cortex and act on the nerve fibers of the skin. If you are depressed, listless, or feel nervous, fearful, or depressed for a long time, it will cause poor blood circulation in the skin and insufficient nutrition, making the skin pale, yellow, black, with deeper wrinkles and premature aging. Therefore, you should pay attention to regulating your emotions and strengthening exercise. Only by having a healthy mind and body can you have healthy skin.

4. Sufficient sleep: The skin is exposed to the sun during the day, so it needs to replenish nutrients and repair damaged cells at night so that the skin can be bright, tender and smooth the next day. The skin's nutrition and repair are mainly between 10 pm and 4 am. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure 6 to 8 hours of sleep every day.

5. Strengthen nutrition: In winter, the skin's regulating performance is poor. You should eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and eggs containing vitamins, and eat less animal protein, which is beneficial to the metabolism of the skin. You should also eat more things that nourish the yin and moisten the lungs, such as sesame and honey, and try to eat less irritating foods such as green onions and garlic. In addition, if you want good skin, you must also take in some minerals, such as magnesium and potassium. These minerals can eliminate fatigue, help digestion, accelerate enzyme activity, and promote blood circulation, which is beneficial to beauty and hairdressing. The human body must take in 300-400 mg of magnesium every day, and magnesium is mainly found in food, so excessive pursuit of "eating more vegetables and less rice" is not good for the health of the skin.

6. Massage the facial skin: Massage the facial skin and muscles with your hands for 3 minutes every night (preferably with oil or cream as a medium). Slowly massage along the direction of the facial muscles and blood vessels from the inside out to promote facial blood circulation, so that facial cells secrete more collagen and oil, which plays a role in protecting the skin. (Except for oily acne skin). Another thing is to control the indoor temperature and increase the humidity.

Men's skin is thicker and denser than women's, which affects the excretion of skin metabolism products, making it easy for some substances to remain in the body and cause skin diseases. At the same time, men's sebaceous glands and sweat glands are more developed than women's. When the glands with strong secretions are not cleaned and dredged in time and become blocked, acne and blackheads will appear on the face. Therefore, men should take better care of their skin.
