What is pseudophimosis

What is pseudophimosis

Many men have pseudo-phimosis because of their foreskin. So what is pseudo-phimosis? What is the difference between pseudo-phimosis and true foreskin? What are the dangers of pseudo-phimosis? This article will start from these points and introduce what pseudo-phimosis is. If you want to know more about it, please read on!

Pseudo-phimosis refers to a condition in which the glans penis cannot be fully exposed normally, but can be fully exposed after the penis is erect. Most men with foreskin that is too long have pseudo-phimosis.

Pseudo-phimosis is very common in teenage boys. How to distinguish it from true phimosis:

Pseudo-phimosis: The glans penis and urethral opening can only be exposed by manually turning up the foreskin or when the penis is fully erect.

True phimosis refers to the situation that the glans penis cannot be fully exposed even after erection, while false phimosis refers to the situation that the glans penis cannot be fully exposed at normal times, but can be fully exposed after erection.

Theoretically, pseudophimosis does not require surgery, but because the glans is too sensitive, it is easy for men to have symptoms such as premature ejaculation. Some people are prone to male inflammation such as glansitis. Therefore, it is recommended that male friends with this disease have a simple operation, which is more thorough.

The dangers of pseudo-phimosis:

1. Affects the development of penis length and diameter: During puberty, the glans penis is tightly covered by the foreskin and cannot receive the proper stimulation from the outside world. The development of the penis is restricted, resulting in a small diameter of the glans penis crown after maturity. If foreskin incarceration occurs in adulthood, severe cases may lead to glans necrosis. Therefore, foreign countries perform circumcision on children at around 3 years old.

2. It harbors dirt and is prone to urogenital inflammation: The abundant sebaceous glands in the foreskin produce a large amount of secretions, but the foreskin prevents the secretions from being discharged, and the dirt accumulates and many pathogenic bacteria parasitize. The bacteria invade the urethra and cause urinary tract infection, which can cause balanitis, glansitis, urethritis, and increase the infection of sexual diseases such as genital warts and herpes.

3. Leading to diseases such as premature ejaculation and male infertility: Because the glans mucosa is rarely stimulated, the nerves of the glans mucosa are overly sensitive. During sexual intercourse, the friction between the glans and the vagina will cause ejaculation at the first touch, and it will also cause pain during sexual intercourse.

4. Damage to kidney function and induce cancer: Inflammation and other factors may cause stenosis of the urethra or anterior urethra, which affects urine metabolism. The bacteria in the foreskin may infect the kidneys, which may damage kidney function in the long term. Studies have shown that smegma is a carcinogen and one of the factors that cause male penile cancer. According to surveys, 85%-95% of penile cancer patients have phimosis or excessive foreskin.

5. Harm to women's reproductive health and disease recovery: Men's smegma (residual urine crystals) is one of the important causes of women's cervical cancer.

The above is the introduction about what is pseudo-phimosis. I believe that after the above introduction, everyone has a certain understanding of the relevant knowledge of pseudo-phimosis. When we have the problem of pseudo-phimosis, we should perform circumcision surgery in time to prevent the harm caused by pseudo-phimosis. I hope the relevant introduction in this article can bring help to everyone.
