Five signs of sexual aging in men

Aging is an inevitable process, but it is not the decisive factor for good sex. Because an important component of a good sex life is a sexual partner who can satisfy you, not an organ.

For men, the aging of sexual organs is mainly reflected in the following five aspects:

1. Testicular "shrinkage"

Generally, after the age of 50-60, the interstitial cells of the testicles of men will gradually age and undergo degenerative changes, which will significantly reduce the secretion of testosterone and the volume of the testicles. At this time, the various tissues and organs of the body will gradually age and sexual function will gradually decline.

2. The appearance of the penis has changed

When men reach their forties, the glans penis gradually loses its purple-red color, mainly due to reduced blood circulation. As androgen levels drop, the pubic hair on the penis also becomes thinner and thinner, gradually returning to its pre-pubertal hairless state. In addition, like other parts of the body, the penis epidermis also becomes loose.

3. Smaller size

Generally speaking, the male penis basically stops developing after puberty. As age increases, the length and thickness of the penis will also change slightly. From 50 to 70 years old, the size of the penis will shrink by 1-3 cm.

4. The penis is more curved

If there are scars on the penis and the scars accumulate unevenly, the penis may become more and more curved. This is called Peyronie's disease, which is more common in middle-aged people. It can cause pain during erection and difficulty in sexual intercourse, so patients should actively seek medical attention.

5. Reduced sensitivity

The most obvious manifestation is the decrease in sexual impulses. After the age of 60, the average number of orgasms per year decreases by 10-50 times compared to the age of 30, depending on the individual. This leads to delayed sexual response, less semen, extreme fatigue after sex, and a greatly extended refractory period (i.e. the time between two consecutive erections and ejaculations).
