Semen is a secretion of the male prostate. The metabolism of semen is controlled by androgens, and the daily excretion volume is about 0.5~2ml. It is a key component of semen and one of the plasma components in semen, accounting for about 1/10~1/3 of the density of ejaculated sperm. 1/6 is about 0.5ml. In the sequence of male ejaculation, semen is one of the flow components of semen. The protein content of semen is very small, and it mainly contains high concentrations of zinc ions, acid phosphatase, protein hydrolase, chemofibrotin, spermine, aliphatic active polypeptides, etc. Among them, protein hydrolase and chemofibrotin have the effect of promoting sperm liquefaction. Testing acid phosphatase and sodium citrate can help distinguish prostate function and whether there is any lesion. When the inflammation is more serious, the substance may be thick and yellowish or dark red in color, or contain flocculent matter and sticky threads. When examined under a microscope, the following components can be seen: 1. Lecithin bodies are evenly distributed in semen. They are spherical bodies, large, highly refractive, and numerous. Normal semen contains 28-250 g/d1 of total lipids, of which unsaturated fatty acids account for 65%, and are dominated by soybean lecithin. Lecithin bodies almost fill the entire visual field. When the male prostate is inflamed, macrophages swallow a large number of long-chain fatty acids, so the lecithin bodies decrease significantly. Therefore, the number of lecithin bodies reflects the severity of prostatitis to a certain extent. With the stabilization and improvement of the condition after treatment, the amount of soybean lecithin can also be increased. 2. Blood cells include white blood cell count and hemocytes. Under normal circumstances, there are few blood cells, which only appear when inflamed. If the massage is too heavy, the blood cell count may increase, and even visible bleeding may occur. The white blood cell count in normal semen is scattered, no more than 10 per vertical line, and they are dispersed, not piled up in clusters. When inflamed, due to the turbulence of metabolic duct drainage, a large number of pus balls or white blood cell counts can be seen. If the white blood cell count exceeds 10-15 per vertical line under a microscope, it can be diagnosed as bacterial prostatitis. 3. Starch particles, stones or sperm can also be seen in semen, but they are not introduced in detail because they have no positive significance in the diagnosis of prostate disease. The microbial composition of semen is very rich and colorful. The more significant ones for the diagnosis of prostate disease include pH, zinc, acid phosphatase, citrate and leucine aminopeptidase. When inflammation occurs, zinc and various enzyme components are reduced, but they are rarely used in clinical medicine. |
