Why do men get pubic lice?

Pubic lice are a common parasite that usually grows on people's pubic hair. Pubic lice not only suck human blood, but also release certain toxins, which can cause itching symptoms in people's genitals, which is extremely harmful to people's genital health. If you can understand the cause of pubic lice, you can prevent and treat it well. Below, I will introduce to you why men get pubic lice.

Pubic lice is mainly caused by infection with the parasite pubic lice. Pubic lice will tightly grasp the roots of hair and suck the blood in the local skin tissue to survive. Therefore, skin lesions mainly appear on the parts of the body where hair grows. After sucking blood, they will release toxins and defecate, which will cause very obvious itching symptoms and make people very troubled. Only by finding out the cause of pubic lice infection in time, cutting off the cause of the disease, and carrying out targeted treatment, can the disease be completely cured.

In clinical practice, it is concluded that the main reasons why men have pubic lice are as follows:

1. Pubic lice are transmitted through sexual contact: Pubic lice live in the hair of the genitals. When the human body is in close contact such as sexual intercourse, pubic lice will take the opportunity to find a new host. Therefore, sexual contact is also a major way of transmitting pubic lice. Pubic lice are most likely to occur in people with promiscuous sex lives, and pubic lice is also a type of sexually transmitted disease in clinical practice.

2. Direct contact transmission and pubic lice: Direct contact transmission refers to other direct contact transmission routes of pubic lice other than sexual contact. Experts point out that due to limited living conditions, poor hygiene conditions and crowded housing in many places, if you sleep in the same bed with someone who has pubic lice, pubic lice will be transmitted through bed sheets, clothing, bedding, towels and other items. People living in dormitories with poor hygiene conditions are more likely to be infected with pubic lice.

3. Indirect contact transmission: Pubic lice have strong reproductive capacity, and both pubic lice and lice eggs are contagious. Pubic lice and lice eggs can easily cause bed sheets, underwear, towels, toilets and other items or utensils to be contaminated as pubic hair falls off. If other people accidentally touch these items contaminated by pubic lice, they will be infected.
