Hydrocele is a disease that is easy to occur in men, especially when the newborn grows to 6 to 18 months old. In fact, hydrocele mainly refers to the accumulation of fluid in the patient's vaginal cavity exceeding the normal amount. Generally speaking, only surgery can achieve the effect of drainage. But is surgery necessary after suffering from hydrocele? Surgery is not necessary for hydrocele. Whether surgery is needed for hydrocele depends on the amount of hydrocele and the age of the patient. Different treatment plans are adopted. If the amount of hydrocele is not large, it may be absorbed by itself, and conservative anti-inflammatory treatment can be used. If the patient with hydrocele is under two years old, it may also be absorbed by itself, and surgical treatment is not required for the time being. For a large amount of hydrocele, and clinical symptoms such as testicular swelling and discomfort, and lower abdominal discomfort, hydrocele decompression surgery can be considered at this time. 1. Scrotal hydrocele, the accumulated liquid bacterial culture medium, is particularly prone to breeding bacteria. Bacteria live a comfortable life in a comfortable environment and continue to multiply. If antibiotics are used alone for treatment, the amount of drugs that can enter the sac is negligible. Surgical incision of the sac to drain the infected hydrocele can improve the condition. 2. Huge scrotal fluid accumulation will cause a lot of troubles to patients, such as: causing unbearable discomfort in the lower body and a heavy feeling of scrotum and testicles, inconvenience in walking and working, preventing sexual life, and in severe cases, it may even lead to male infertility. There are two types of hydrocele. Depending on whether the processus vaginalis is closed, it can be divided into two types: if the processus vaginalis is closed and the fluid is limited to the testicular sac, it is called testicular hydrocele; if the processus vaginalis of the proximal spermatic cord is open and communicates with the abdominal cavity, and the distal end is closed, it is spermatic hydrocele. On this basis, if the processus vaginalis that communicates with the abdominal cavity is thicker, the peritoneal exudate can change with the body position, and the hydrocele appears, which is also called communicating hydrocele. Although hydrocele in children is not a particularly serious disease, once the condition worsens, it can cause great harm to the child. If the child's condition does not improve after parents choose to give their children some more conservative treatments, parents can choose surgery to treat their children. Not all children with hydrocele require surgery. For some children, part of the hydrocele may be absorbed and disappear on its own as the processus vaginalis is blocked after birth. Therefore, conservative observation is recommended for children under one year old and those with low tension hydrocele. |
