Testicle height difference of 2 cm

Testicle height difference of 2 cm

The male testicles are very different from other parts of the body, because when most male friends touch the testicles, they find that the temperature of the testicles is lower than other parts. In fact, keeping the testicles cool can effectively exert the normal function of the testicles, so it is normal for the testicles to be cold. At the same time, the height of the testicles is also very important. Is it normal for a man's testicles to differ by two centimeters?

Where is the "address" of the testicles?

The "address" of a normal male testicle is inside the scrotum, one on each side. The scrotal wall can regulate the local temperature to be slightly lower than body temperature by 1.5-2℃. This "low temperature" can maintain the normal physiological function of the testicle.

Is it pathological to have one testicle higher than the other?

The testicles are oval, smooth, and grayish white. They grow rapidly with sexual maturity, and shrink with aging and sexual dysfunction. The testicles of adult men are 3.5-4.5 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, 1-2 cm thick, and weigh 10-15 grams per testicle. Some men have testicles of different sizes, but as long as the size is not too different, within the normal range, physiological functions are normal, and there is no fever or pain, it is normal.

Normally, the "address" of a man's two testicles is one high and one low. Generally, the left testicle is about 1 cm lower than the right testicle. Some men have the right testicle lower. As long as the height difference is not too large and the testicles are not pathological, it is normal. The high and low testicles can prevent squeezing and avoid injuries from friction when walking.

Testicles are related to men's fatherhood

For most boys, their testicles are already located in the correct place - the scrotum - before they are born, where they lead a wonderful life. However, one in a thousand boys have naughty testicles that move to the wrong place - above the scrotum, in the groin, or in the abdominal cavity.

The testicles cannot enter the scrotum and lose the temperature regulation protection of the scrotal wall. The testicles are in a relatively high temperature environment, and the spermatogenic function will be destroyed. Ultrastructural changes will occur after 1 year old, and the spermatogenic ability will be basically lost after 2 years old. After puberty, the vast majority of cryptic testes will atrophy. Therefore, males with bilateral cryptic testes are likely to suffer from azoospermia in adulthood, causing infertility. Even if it is only unilateral cryptic testis, the spermatogenic function of one side of the testis will be destroyed, resulting in the production of various anti-sperm antibodies, affecting fertility.

Pay close attention to the child's scrotum within 10 months after birth. If you find that the testicles have not descended into the scrotum, you should go to the hospital immediately for examination and treatment. Parents should pay attention to this problem, so as to avoid being neglected or lacking common sense, resulting in the discovery of hidden testicles in their sons when they enter puberty or even prepare to get married and have children, which will cause irreparable regrets.
