Is oligospermia easy to treat?

If a man has oligospermia, it will affect his fertility. There are many reasons for men to suffer from oligospermia, such as some male diseases, bad living habits or drugs, etc. These will affect the quality of male sperm. However, after a man suffers from oligospermia, he should not be too discouraged. He should actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment. During the treatment, he must choose a professional and formal hospital, and do not choose some small hospitals for the sake of cheapness.

Is oligospermia easy to treat?

Diseases like oligospermia and asthenospermia are generally difficult to treat. To cure the disease well, scientific and effective methods must be used. Therefore, the method of treating oligospermia is critical, and patients must pay more attention when choosing.

1. Drug treatment: For patients with milder symptoms, such as diseases caused by infection, such as genital infection, patients can use drugs to fight infection, or use some drugs to regulate the patient's endocrine system. This can play a certain role. As long as the patient follows the doctor's instructions, oligospermia can be cured.

2. Surgical treatment: For patients with more serious symptoms, such as those caused by a certain disease (varicocele), surgical treatment is generally an option. I believe everyone is familiar with this treatment.

3. Get rid of bad living habits. Many men suffer from oligospermia and asthenospermia due to bad living habits, so the disease can be improved by correcting bad habits. Excessive smoking, alcoholism, sauna bathing, etc. will reduce or affect the motility of sperm. Therefore, for patients who have been diagnosed with oligospermia and asthenospermia, these bad living habits should be corrected as much as possible. Proper rest and relief of psychological pressure are also helpful for the treatment of oligospermia and asthenospermia.

Although oligospermia can lead to male infertility, the disease can be improved as long as the patient receives early treatment. After the disease is under control, as long as the patient can persevere, I believe that he will eventually be able to defeat the disease and have a happy family.

Common factors that lead to oligospermia include :

1. Autoimmunity: Reproductive immunology studies have found that male autoimmunity can affect fertility, and anti-sperm antibodies can affect the production and transport of sperm.

2. Chromosomal abnormalities: Chromosomal aberrations have a serious impact on sperm density, motility and morphology, resulting in oligospermia.

3. Endocrine abnormalities: Male normal spermatogenesis depends on the normal function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis. Any disorder in any of these links will affect spermatogenesis. Other diseases such as thyroid and adrenal gland diseases will also affect the function of the gonads and cause oligospermia.

4. Varicose vein: When the varicocele is varicose, the local temperature of the testicle increases and the vasoactive substances increase, thereby affecting the testicular spermatogenesis function. However, the degree of varicocele is not proportional to the quality of sperm. Varicose vein is one of the common causes of oligospermia.

5. Urinary tract infection: Chronic infection of the accessory reproductive glands can affect various laboratory indicators in semen and cause oligospermia.

6. Cryptorchidism: Cryptorchidism is one of the important factors affecting semen quality. About 60% of patients with unilateral cryptorchidism are infertile. Therefore, if the sperm density is low and there is cryptorchidism, oligospermia must be treated as soon as possible.
