How long does it take to recover from circumcision?

Many men have a condition called foreskin that is too long. Foreskin that is too long is not a good condition for men. It is easy for bacteria to grow under the foreskin, which may cause some genital diseases. People need to pay attention to this situation and take some measures to deal with it. Circumcision is a very common method. It takes some time to recover after the operation. So how long does it take to recover after circumcision?

Circumcision is a minor outpatient surgery. Generally, the incision will heal within a week after the surgery, and it will take a month to fully return to normal. After the surgery, you should pay attention to personal hygiene, eat a light diet, eat more vegetables and fruits, drink more water, eat less greasy, spicy and irritating food, do not wear tight underwear, and try to avoid penile erection.

It is normal for a man to have swelling after circumcision. This is because the circumcision cuts off the blood vessels at the current location, causing blood circulation disorders. This causes edema. As new blood circulation is established, the edema will gradually disappear. This process takes about two to three weeks. How long it takes for a man to recover after circumcision depends on two factors: the quality of the surgical treatment and the postoperative care. Under normal circumstances, it takes 4 weeks to fully recover and resume normal sexual life.

Precautions after circumcision: 1. It is best to rest for 1-2 days after the operation. You can rest in bed, surf the Internet or read books, etc. Try to move as little as possible to prevent bleeding during postoperative activities. 2. Try to think less or contact less pornography, obscene magazines, online pictures and videos after the operation. Because contact with these things causes the penis to erect, it is easy to cause postoperative bleeding. 3. Eat light food as much as possible in terms of diet, and eat less spicy and irritating food. 4. Generally, the dressing is changed once every 3 days. After about three days, normal activities are generally fine. 5. In addition to antibiotics, you should also take drugs to prevent erection and relieve pain (such as Premarin, Sometone, etc.) after the operation. 6. Discomfort in the glans penis may occur after the operation, which is a normal phenomenon. Generally, this feeling will gradually disappear after about a week.
