Does prostatitis cause yellow urine?

Most people may have heard of prostatitis, but they are not very clear about the symptoms of prostatitis in men. As an important organ in the male urinary system, if there is a problem with the prostate, some of its symptoms will be directly manifested in the male's urine. So if male friends find that they have prostatitis problems, they can observe the color of their urine carefully. So will prostatitis make the color of male urine turn yellow?

Will prostatitis cause yellow urine?

Prostatitis is divided into acute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis.

The clinical manifestations of acute prostatitis vary according to different pathological types and different infection routes. Catarrhal and follicular prostatitis may have no conscious symptoms, while solid prostatitis has typical systemic and local symptoms. Hematogenous infection occurs suddenly, with systemic acute infection symptoms or purulent blood symptoms. Prostatitis caused by urinary tract infection often has significant urination symptoms. Symptoms can generally be divided into five categories.

(1) Systemic symptoms: fatigue, weakness, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, high fever, chills, asthenia or septicaemia. Systemic symptoms may mask local symptoms when the disease occurs suddenly.

(2) (2) Local symptoms: A feeling of heaviness and pressure in the perineum or suprapubic area, which worsens when sitting for a long time or when defecating, and radiates to the waist, lower abdomen, back, thighs, etc.

(3) (3) Urinary tract symptoms: burning pain during urination, urgency, frequency, dribbling, and purulent urethral discharge. Edema of the bladder neck can cause difficulty in urination, thin or interrupted urine flow, and in severe cases, urinary retention.

(4) (4) Rectal symptoms: distended rectum, urgent and painful defecation, and white discharge from the urethra during defecation.

The clinical manifestations of chronic prostatitis are relatively complex, which is mainly related to the complexity of the prostate's nerve branches.

The dangers of prostatitis

1. Sexual dysfunction: Prostate disease can cause damage to the sexual arousal nerves, resulting in symptoms such as impotence and premature ejaculation, until complete loss of function.

2. Affects fertility and may lead to infertility: Long-term chronic inflammation causes changes in the composition of prostatic fluid, affecting the secretory function of the prostate, which in turn affects the liquefaction time of semen and reduces sperm motility, which can lead to male infertility.

3. Leading to chronic nephritis and even developing into uremia: If prostatitis is not treated in time, it can lead to prostate hyperplasia, which will compress the bladder outlet, making it impossible for urine to be completely emptied, resulting in residual urine. Residual urine is a good culture medium for bacterial reproduction. In addition, the defense mechanism of the bladder mucosa is damaged, so it is very easy to cause urinary tract infections such as pyelonephritis. If the treatment is not thorough at this time, pyelonephritis, hydronephrosis, etc. will develop into nephritis, and then develop into uremia.

4. Endocrine disorders: Under normal circumstances, the prostate can secrete a variety of active substances. Prostate inflammation and endocrine disorders can cause neurasthenia and even mental abnormalities.

5. Induce cancer: Prostate disease can reduce the antibacterial ability of prostate fluid and increase the chance of bacterial infection. Long-term inflammation or hyperplasia can easily induce prostate cancer.

6. Infecting spouse and causing gynecological inflammation: Prostatitis can be transmitted to the wife, especially prostatitis caused by some special bacteria, whose inflammation can be transmitted to the wife through sexual intercourse, such as fungal prostatitis, trichomonal prostatitis, sexual prostatitis, bacterial (chlamydia, mycoplasma) prostatitis, etc.
