Post-proctatic bleeding

Post-proctatic bleeding

Although prostate disease is an important male disease that troubles many middle-aged and elderly men, once a man suffers from prostate disease, it will have a great impact on his urination. However, men who work night shifts will use drugs to treat their prostate disease. Only when the prostate disease develops to a more serious level and cannot be controlled by drugs, will they undergo prostate surgery. But why does bleeding occur after prostate surgery?

1. Why do I still bleed after prostate surgery?

If you are still bleeding 20 days after prostate surgery, it may be a small amount of bleeding. Considering the possibility of mucosal hemorrhage, it is recommended that you rest in bed more, drink more water, and consult the doctor who performed the surgery if necessary.

2. Indications for prostate surgery

1. Urinary retention caused by prostatic hyperplasia, including acute urinary retention and recurrent urinary retention.

2. Obvious symptoms of obstruction, no residual urine in the bladder, and abnormal urine flow rate test.

3. Increased residual urine volume in the bladder leads to kidney function damage.

4. Prostatic venous bleeding, causing hematuria.

5. Prostatic hyperplasia combined with bladder stones, diverticulum and bladder tumors. 6. Patients with prostatic hyperplasia who have suffered from chronic prostatitis.

3. Precautions after prostate surgery

Patients with prostate disease have many things to pay attention to after surgery. They should pay special attention to recurrent high fever caused by inflammation, and keep the catheter dry, unobstructed and clean. All patients need a catheter after prostate surgery, so the catheter must be kept unobstructed, and the color of the urine in the catheter must also be carefully checked.

Observe more and replace the urine bag in time. When replacing it, be careful not to pull the catheter outwards with force to avoid accidentally pulling it out, especially when dressing or undressing or turning over.

Patients with prostate diseases are advised not to eat anything on the day after surgery and only receive intravenous drips. During the first month after discharge, they are advised not to lift heavy objects and pay special attention to their diet. Smoking and drinking are prohibited, spicy and irritating foods should be avoided, and a reasonable and nutritious diet should be taken to prevent constipation.
