What medicine should men take for urinary tract infection

The symptom of urinary tract infection will cause the patient's urine to turn yellow and become unable to urinate, and will affect the normal function of the genitals. Therefore, when male friends have urinary tract infection, it is best to take medication in time. For example, penicillin can be used to treat it. The specific choice of penicillin requires everyone to understand the efficacy of the drug and the severity of the disease.

In the treatment of male urinary tract infection, in addition to the commonly used antibiotics such as penicillins, cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, the following anti-inflammatory drugs are also included.

Choice of penicillin-type anti-inflammatory drugs for the treatment of urinary tract infections

There are many kinds of penicillin preparations. When treating urinary tract infections, the penicillin preparations should be selected according to the different conditions and characteristics of different penicillins. There are two types of penicillin preparations for treating urinary tract infections:

(1) Natural penicillin: Penicillin G interferes with the synthesis of the cell wall of sensitive bacteria and is a bactericidal agent during the bacterial reproduction period. It has a strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria, but has a weaker effect on Gram-negative bacteria except for Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is mainly excreted by the kidneys, and about 60% to 80% is excreted in the urine within 24 hours. After intramuscular injection of 1 million u, the concentration in urine can reach 1000LL/mL, which is about 1000 times higher than that in the blood. After using penicillin to treat urinary tract infections, it is not easy to develop drug resistance, but Staphylococcus aureus is an exception. After repeated contact with penicillin, it can produce a large amount of penicillinase, which decomposes penicillin and makes it ineffective. The combination of penicillin and sulfonamide compounds can enhance the efficacy of Enterococcus and anaerobic Streptococcus infections. Severe urinary tract infection with bacteremia requires large doses of penicillin drip.

(2) Semi-synthetic penicillin: There are two types of clinical applications.

①Penicillinase-resistant type: mainly used for penicillinase-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections.

Methicillin (neopenicillin I): intramuscular injection, 6-12 g/d, divided into 4 times. In severe cases, intravenous administration can be used. Intramuscular injection is painful and can easily cause interstitial nephritis.

Cloxacillin: Oral administration, intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion, 0.5-0.75 g/time, 2-4 times/day, reduce the dosage for children.

Pentoza penicillin (thiophene): a new β-amide antibiotic with low toxicity. Oral administration, 1-2 g/time, 3-4 times/day. Do not use if you are allergic to penicillin.

②Broad-spectrum penicillin

Amine penicillin: It has a strong effect on Escherichia coli, Proteus, and Enterococcus, but is ineffective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Aerobacterium oxytoca. It is acid-resistant but not enzyme-resistant. Oral administration: 0.25-1g/time, 4 times/day; intramuscular injection: 0.5-1g/time, 4 times/day; intravenous drip: 2-6g/day, children: 50-100mg/kg.

Hydroxyampicillin: Stronger than ampicillin. Better oral absorption, the dosage is the same as ampicillin.

Carboxypenicillin: It has a strong effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteobacterium, and is not enzyme-resistant, so it is easy to produce drug resistance when used alone. It has a synergistic effect when used in combination with gentamicin, but the two drugs cannot be mixed and injected at the same time, otherwise gentamicin will be destroyed. Intramuscular injection, 1g/time, 4 times/d; severe Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection, intravenous drip 5-20g/d.

Oxypiperazine penicillin: This type of penicillin is mainly used for infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is more effective than penicillins such as ampicillin, carboxybenzylpenicillin and sulfonylpenicillin, and less toxic than aminoglycosides. Usage: Intramuscular injection or intravenous drip, 4-12g/d.

Benthiobacillus penicillin: Mainly used for urinary tract infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Bacillus fragilis, by intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion.

People who are allergic to penicillin should avoid using this drug.
