Symptoms of Chlamydia Infection in Men

Bacterial infection is one of the important reasons for human diseases. Many parts of our body are susceptible to bacterial infection. In daily life, we are accustomed to calling it bacterial infection, but in medicine, different types of bacterial infection have different classifications and corresponding professional names. Today we are going to learn about male chlamydia infection. So, what are the specific symptoms of male chlamydia infection?

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. Although both men and women can be infected with this bacterium, statistical data show that men are more susceptible to this disease. Therefore, without protective measures, sexual intercourse will be infected with Chlamydia. This bacterium can be transmitted through vaginal, anal and oral sex. If not treated in time, it is likely to cause male infertility and some serious diseases such as arthritis.

1. Therefore, early detection of chlamydia infection will help to better treat the disease. About 50% of men do not have any symptoms in the early stages. It often takes 1-3 weeks for the patient to be fully exposed to the bacteria before symptoms appear. Fever is an early symptom of male chlamydia, but since fever is also a symptom of some other diseases, it is easy to be ignored.

2. Since chlamydia infection affects the urethra, patients experience a burning sensation when urinating. This is a symptom that occurs in both men and women, but it may be mistaken for gonorrhea, a sexually transmitted disease with symptoms very similar to chlamydia infection.

3. People infected with Chlamydia may also notice a foul-smelling, watery or white discharge from their penis. The testicles may also become swollen and painful due to infection. In addition, redness and pain in the head of the penis are also symptoms of Chlamydia infection.

Note:

If the chlamydia infection is caused by anal sex, there will most likely be burning and pain in the rectal area. Bleeding from the anus is also likely to be a problem. If the infection is caused by oral sex, it will cause a sore throat.
