Edema after circumcision surgery

Circumcision is a very common male surgery. Edema usually occurs after circumcision, which is a very normal phenomenon after surgery. After circumcision, the patient must pay attention to care and ensure the cleanliness of the surgical site, otherwise it is easy to cause infection and inflammation, resulting in other sequelae. So, what should I do if edema occurs after circumcision?

After the operation, you need to check and change the dressing, keep the wound clean and dry, and you can also do red light and other microwave treatments appropriately to promote wound healing. During this period, try to eat light food, avoid spicy and irritating food, and try to avoid stimulating the penis and reduce erection to avoid the wound from splitting and causing unnecessary trouble. Erection after circumcision is very common, such as morning erection. As long as the wound does not burst, it is generally fine. You cannot have sex within one month, otherwise the originally healed wound is likely to burst. You can do vigorous exercise in about 3 weeks. Finally, pay attention to keep the wound dry, and do not wet the gauze with urine. If the gauze is wet, go to the hospital to change it.

First, there may be slight pain and bruising at the wound after circumcision, so you should take painkillers regularly after the operation and try to wear loose clothes to avoid friction on the penis.

Second, before the wound heals, you should take anti-inflammatory medication as prescribed by your doctor and return for regular checkups.

Third, keep the wound clean and dry after the operation, and do not wet the gauze when urinating.

Fourth, avoid erection after the operation to prevent wound rupture.

1. Edema after circumcision is a common symptom

It is normal to have mild edema of the glans penis within 3 to 4 days after the operation, but there are individual differences.
