How much sperm movement is normal?

Sperm plays a key role in creating the next generation. Healthy sperm leads to a healthy family. However, in many cases, there are abnormal sperm conditions. Abnormal sperm forward movement rate, also known as asthenospermia, is one of them. There are many reasons for asthenospermia, so let's talk about how to deal with this situation.

In daily life, male sperm is a unique substance in every male body, and it also plays a key role in creating the next generation. Under normal circumstances, male sperm will meet and fuse with the egg cells in the fallopian tubes to form a sperm-egg combination, and then move to the uterine body, and then implant in the uterus, and finally begin to grow and develop to produce test tube embryos.

However, in order to get pregnant after the normal IVF embryo production, the female reproductive health must also ensure that the sperm is normal. However, there is a situation that may not allow women to get pregnant normally, that is, the situation of low sperm motility, which is also called asthenospermia. Asthenospermia generally refers to the situation where the sum of the forward movement sperm of grade A and grade B in the sperm parameters is less than 250%, or the sperm of grade A movement is less than 25%. The proportion of infertility caused by asthenospermia is about 20-30%.

There are many reasons for asthenospermia, the most common ones are roughly the following: The first is due to long-term abstinence, resulting in too high sperm count, too many dead sperm, and poor sperm quality. This is a relatively normal type. Therefore, when checking sperm, it is best to abstain from sex for 5 to 7 days. The second is caused by infection, such as prostatitis and orchitis and other pathogenic infections. Infection will change the composition of semen, resulting in a decrease in nutrients such as zinc, magnesium, sodium citrate and glucose in semen, and will also increase pH, thus turning into asthenospermia. The third is varicose veins of the spermatorrhea. Due to problems with the blood circulation system of the male testicles and epididymal cysts, the temperature of some parts rises, causing toxic substances to accumulate, eventually resulting in weak sperm.

When you find that the sperm motility rate is insufficient and less than 25%, it is very likely that the sperm motility rate is abnormal, which is what the hospital often calls weak sperm. Do not blindly take medicine without finding the cause of the disease. You should go to the hospital immediately to clarify the cause of the disease, and then start treatment according to the doctor's diagnosis. This will not cause other unexpected things.
