Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment for Kidney Deficiency

Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment for Kidney Deficiency

Many people are skeptical about using traditional Chinese medicine to treat kidney deficiency. The biggest reason is that traditional Chinese medicine is slow to take effect and cannot quickly produce good therapeutic effects. However, Western medicine often treats kidney deficiency only by treating the symptoms and not the root cause, and cannot cure it well. In comparison, the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine are reflected. The treatment of kidney deficiency is a systematic project, and only the treatment theories and methods of traditional Chinese medicine can treat it. So how effective is the treatment of kidney deficiency by traditional Chinese medicine?

1. Taixi Point

Yuan acupoints are important acupoints for treating internal organs, and Taixi is the Yuan acupoint of the foot Shaoyin kidney meridian. It is generally believed that treatment at this point can benefit the kidney and nourish yin, regulate Chong and Ren meridians, and clear away deficiency heat. Therefore, massaging Taixi can not only treat sexual dysfunction, but also has a certain therapeutic effect in preventing kidney qi deficiency, semen deficiency, and penile pain after sex. Taixi acupoint is located in the depression between the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon, and can be taken at the same level as the tip of the medial malleolus. Treat kidney deficiency.

When massaging, sit down and use your thumb and index finger to hold the acupoints and rub them gently for 2 minutes. This is called twisting. Or put your thumb nail on the acupoints and then increase the force until you can barely bear it. Continue for half a minute.

2. Yongquan Point

Yongquan is located in the center of the sole, in the front 1/3 of the sole, and is the concave point when the toes are flexed. This is a key point of the foot Shaoyin kidney meridian, and is called the "longevity point" by modern people because regular massage of this point has the effects of increasing essence and marrow, nourishing the kidney and strengthening yang, and strengthening tendons and bones. Therefore, people with kidney deficiency who have symptoms of premature aging such as sore waist and knees, difficulty walking, memory loss, sexual dysfunction, hair loss, deafness, toothache, and dry throat can often massage this point.

When massaging, sit cross-legged before going to bed every night with the soles of the feet facing upward. Use both hands to massage or press the Yongquan points on both sides with the strength to feel soreness. Do it 50 to 100 times each time. If you persist in doing it for a long time, the effect of strengthening the kidney and strengthening the body will be better. For those who cannot sit cross-legged, you can use single cross-legged sitting and massage or press the soles of both feet one by one.

3. Zhongji Point

Zhongji is the point where the three yin meridians of the foot meet the Ren meridian. Treatment at this point can regulate the Chong and Ren meridians and clear the bladder. It is often used to treat spermatorrhea, enuresis, impotence, hernia, urinary retention, frequent urination, stranguria, lower abdominal pain, leucorrhea, metrorrhagia, etc. Zhongji point is located 1 inch above the pubic symphysis on the midline of the abdomen, that is, between the Guanyuan point and the pubic symphysis. It can effectively treat kidney deficiency.

When massaging, you can lie on your back or sit. Press the acupoint with your fingers at a 45-degree angle to the body surface, with your fingertips pointing to the coccyx. When you feel pain, rub it slowly for 2 minutes. This is the kneading method. Or you can use the ridged surface of your fingers to rub around the Zhongji point at a fast speed until you feel warmth, for 3 minutes.
