Beards are the second characteristic development of boys during puberty and are a manifestation of the vigorous secretion of male hormones. The appearance of beards will make boys who are usually fair and clean-cut more masculine. However, different people have different attitudes towards beards. Some people like them, while others think they are unnecessary. In this process, some people have developed a bad habit of pulling out their beards with their hands when they are bored. In fact, this is a very dangerous action. Some young people do not shave with a razor, but have the habit of plucking their beards with their fingers or pliers, thinking that this can pull out the beards completely by the roots. In fact, this is very harmful. When some male patients with lip folliculitis, rashes, and cellulitis tell their doctors about their medical history, they almost all have the bad habit of plucking their beards. When men reach puberty, mature interstitial cells appear in the testicles. Mature interstitial cells can secrete male hormones (testosterone). This hormone has the function of promoting the normal development of male organs and maintaining the function of maturity. It promotes the development of male secondary sexual characteristics, such as prominent Adam's apple, deep voice, full muscles, beard growth, etc. Therefore, the growth of beards is a manifestation of male characteristics. It is unnecessary and impossible to pluck it out. Because the beard has been plucked, the hair follicles are not damaged and the beard will grow again. Due to frequent stimulation, the regrown beard will be deformed, discolored, and of different lengths and uneven, which will damage the appearance. Moreover, pulling out the beard will damage the surrounding tissues, which will cause pain at the least. If not treated in time, bacteria can often damage the hair follicles and cause folliculitis. If the inflammation spreads, it will become a tumour and even cellulitis. Even if it is cured, it often leaves scars or permanent hair loss. Even more serious is that due to improper or untimely treatment, bacteria will invade the bloodstream, which can cause life-threatening septicemia and purulent blood disease. If you often pull out your beard, the hair follicles will still be open after the beard is pulled out. If there is even a little bacteria invading, it can easily lead to folliculitis. So try to avoid using your hands or other things to help pull out your beard. Since plucking a beard generally only removes the hair shaft and hair root, but not the hair bulb, hair papilla and hair follicle, the beard can still grow back in the future. If the skin, hair follicles or sebaceous glands are damaged when plucking a beard, the bacteria attached to the surface of the skin on the hands or face will take advantage of the opportunity to enter and cause folliculitis, sebaceous glanditis, forming swelling or causing swelling of the lips or even the face. And the more you pluck, the thicker the beard will become. |
