Sebaceous gland ectopy not only occurs in the oral mucosa, but is also common in men's foreskin and glans penis, and women's labia majora and minora. Some men also find that their male genitals have suspicious symptoms. So, what are the typical symptoms of male genital sebaceous gland disorder? Sebaceous gland ectopy usually occurs after puberty and is more common in adults, with more cases in men than women. The disease occurs in the genital area of men, mainly in the genitals, prepuce, frenulum, and rarely in the glans penis, and in women, mainly in the labia majora and minora and perineum. The lesions in this area are characterized by millet-sized flat papule-like lesions without obvious protrusions of the skin, which are distributed in clusters, mostly light yellow or very rarely light white, with a diameter of 1 to 3 mm, and generally do not worsen. Some can be combined into clustered irregular patches with a smooth surface, which can be more clearly seen when the skin is tightened, and feel fine and sandy to the touch. Most of the lesions have no active symptoms. Diagnosis Differentiation between sebaceous ectopic disease and condyloma acuminatum depends on: 1. The key points of sebaceous gland ectopia are located in the prepuce and labia majora and minora. In addition to being commonly seen in the prepuce and labia majora and minora, condyloma acuminatum also occurs in large numbers in the coronal sulcus, glans penis, and vulva. 2. Sebaceous ectopic disease is usually light yellow in color and has no significant damage to the soft skin, while condyloma acuminatum is usually dark red and has cauliflower-like growths that are significantly higher than the soft skin. 3. The acetic acid white test is negative for sebaceous gland ectopic disease and positive for condyloma acuminatum. 4. The long-term observation of sebaceous ectopic disease shows no increase in harm, but condyloma acuminatum may significantly increase in harm in the short term. 5. The characteristics of tissue pathophysiological examination are that in the latter type of disease, hollow cells can be seen in the epidermis; while in this disease, there are no such cells. Healing Sebaceous gland ectopy does not cause any discomfort, so it does not require treatment. Because any treatment is harmful, it may cause secondary infection or scarring. If the patient insists on removing the disease, carbon dioxide laser treatment is feasible. |
