How is bilateral penile deformity treated?

Everyone knows that more is better, especially when it comes to money, the more the better. However, in this world, not all foods are better, such as body organs. Take the penis of a man for example. If there are two penises, not only will it not improve your sexual ability, but more importantly, it will affect your normal sex life. So the question is, how to treat double penis deformity?

treatment

Surgical treatment usually involves the removal of a duplicated penis. This method is simple and easy. If preoperative examination reveals that there is no urethra, the urethra can be reconstructed using a forearm flap. The cases reported by Yu Guangqun, Wang Wenmin, etc. were performed using the removal of a duplicated penis.

Shao Hongxiang and others performed anterior urethral fusion on a child with complete bilateral penile deformity. The procedure was to open the two anterior urethras from the external urethral orifice to the bulbar urethra on the ventral side, fully free the bulbar urethra, ensure that the two urethras were tension-free during the fusion operation, and then suture the sides continuously to form one urethra, and the two penises were combined into one. After the operation, an appropriate amount of estrogen was given to reduce penile erection. Follow-up interviews showed that the appearance of the penis had returned to normal, and morning erections and urination were normal.

Causes

It is not clear yet, but the disease may be caused by abnormal embryonic development from the time the genital tubercle begins to form to the 7th to 8th week, resulting in the failure of the fusion of the genital tubercle.

Clinical fractals

Loynachan AT et al. divided the disease into three categories, namely, dipenis with glans penis, bifurcated dipenis, and complete dipenis.

Hollowell et al. classified the disease into three types: complete bipenis, incomplete bipenis, and other types. There are even other types, but no matter how it is classified, each case must be fully examined before a treatment plan suitable for the patient can be formulated.
