People have only heard of the term genital herpes from hearsay because they have never encountered it. However, only after it actually happened to you did you know what genital herpes is. After the occurrence, there will be a burning sensation and tingling sensation. Erythema will appear on the skin near the herpes. The small red papules will turn into blisters or pustules after a few days, accompanied by itching, burning, and obvious pain, and it will also affect the urinary system.

2. Some patients have more serious symptoms during the first attack, with symptoms of fever, headache, fatigue, myalgia, and inflammation of the inguinal lymph nodes. Generally, the symptoms will be relieved after 2 months.

3. The main way of infection of genital herpes is unclean sexual life. The incubation period after sexual contact is generally 2-7 days, usually 6 days, and the longest can be about 45 days.

4. Primary genital herpes is often accompanied by systemic symptoms such as general discomfort, low fever, headache, and local lymphadenopathy. This disease often recurs. Recurrent genital herpes is milder than primary cases, with less damage and often no systemic symptoms. Male homosexuals may develop anorectal HSV-2 infection, and its incidence is second only to anorectal proctitis caused by gonococci. Clinical manifestations include anorectal pain, constipation, increased secretions, and tenesmus. There may be herpetic ulcers around the anus. Sigmoid colonoscopy often shows congestion, bleeding, and ulcers in the lower rectal mucosa.
