Under normal circumstances, the sperm ejaculated by men is milky white. If you suddenly find that the sperm is bloody, you will definitely be very scared. Indeed, it is definitely abnormal for men to ejaculate with blood. The most common cause is some men's diseases. The reasons behind this can be mild or serious, so it is necessary to combine many symptoms to find out the cause. For safety reasons, it is best to go to the hospital for examination in time. Is bloody ejaculation serious? Semen is a mixture of secretions from the supporting cells of the seminiferous tubules, epididymis, seminal vesicles, prostate, bulbourethral glands and paraurethral glands. The secretions from the seminal vesicles and prostate account for about 65% and 30% of the total volume, respectively. The amount of semen discharged by a healthy adult man each time varies with the length of abstinence: from a few drops to 10 ml, usually 3 to 4 ml. Normal semen is grayish white and egg white-like. If abstinence is too long and no ejaculation occurs, the semen will be light yellow. The semen just ejaculated is highly viscous and can be completely liquefied after half an hour. Semen has a special fishy smell. If the viscosity of the semen just discharged is very low, this is abnormal, and it is often because the number of sperm contained in it is relatively small. The main component of semen is water, accounting for more than 90%. Other components include fat, protein particles, pigment particles, phospholipid bodies of prostatic fluid, amines, free amino acids, various enzymes, lactic acid, fructose and inorganic salts, etc. Semen is the transport fluid for sperm. If sperm is compared to tadpoles, then semen is like river water, allowing sperm to survive and swim in the river water. Semen has the function of neutralizing, buffering and protecting sperm, allowing sperm to survive in the acidic vaginal environment. In addition, the rich fructose, sorbitol, etc. in semen are nutrients that enable sperm to move. Normal semen is milky white. If the semen is brownish red or soy sauce-colored, it is hematospermia. If you take a drop of semen and put it under a microscope, the truth will be clear. It turns out that the reason why it looks brownish red or soy sauce-colored to the naked eye is because semen contains a large number of red blood cells. The causes of hematospermia are both physiological and pathological. Physiological hematospermia is commonly seen in the following three situations: In the first case, during ejaculation, the seminal vesicle undergoes a strong spasmodic contraction, causing the pressure inside the seminal vesicle to increase suddenly. When ejaculation is over, the contracted seminal vesicle becomes loose, and the pressure inside the seminal vesicle drops suddenly. This sudden change can easily cause the permeability of the capillaries in the walls of the seminal vesicle to change, causing the red blood cells in the blood vessels to penetrate into the semen, so that the next ejaculated semen contains red blood cells. In the second case, the seminal vesicle secretes fluid to fill itself between ejaculations. If the frequency of sexual intercourse is low, the secretion of fluid in the seminal vesicle continues to increase, causing the pressure to rise. After ejaculation, the pressure in the seminal vesicle suddenly decreases, causing the capillaries to rupture, resulting in hematospermia. The third situation is the manifestation of systemic allergic reaction in semen, which is more common in men with allergic constitution. The activity of enzyme substances that dissolve tissue fibroblasts in the patient's semen increases, causing damage to the capillary walls on the walls of the seminal vesicles and bleeding, which stains the semen red. In addition to the above three situations, hematospermia can also be seen in the following four diseases: 1. Seminal vesiculitis This is the most common cause of hematospermia. The seminal vesicle stores semen. When the seminal vesicle undergoes inflammatory changes, the tiny blood vessels also become inflammatory and congested, dilated, and ruptured and bleed, and the blood flows out with the semen, thus forming hematospermia. 2. Testicular or seminal vesicle swelling and pain Once the testicles or seminal vesicles become swollen and painful, hematospermia may occur. 3. Prostatitis Inflammatory changes in the prostate gland can cause inflammatory congestion, rupture and bleeding of capillaries, thus forming hematospermia. 4. Seminal vesicle tuberculosis is caused by the invasion of Mycobacterium tuberculosis into the seminal vesicles and often occurs simultaneously with epididymal tuberculosis and prostate tuberculosis. For physiological hematospermia caused by changes in the pressure in the seminal vesicle, the person concerned does not need to be too nervous, but should pay attention to the frequency of sexual life. If it is an allergic constitution, especially if the occurrence of hematospermia is related to systemic allergic reactions, anti-allergic drugs, vitamin C and hemostatic drugs can be used. |
