How to treat testicular tumor?

Testicular tumor is a very common tumor in men, with a high rate of malignancy. For most people, testicular tumors come from reproductive cells. So how can this disease be treated? Let us introduce it below.

Testicular tumors have no obvious symptoms in the early stages. As the tumor develops, a painless mass gradually grows larger and can be found occasionally by the patient, family members or doctors during examination. The patient often feels that the testicles are heavy and there is a pulling sensation in the scrotum or lower abdomen. Patients with occult testes are more likely to develop testicular tumors than normal people. As early diagnosis of testicular tumors is very important, young men who feel that there is a mass in the scrotum or groin area should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

The diagnosis of testicular tumor is generally not difficult. Testicular examination can make a preliminary diagnosis. If necessary, other auxiliary examinations can be used to confirm the diagnosis or speculate whether there is metastasis.

Seminomas are the most common type of testicular tumors, accounting for about 60% of all testicular tumors. Seminomas are sensitive to both radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Most patients in the early stage can be completely cured by orchiectomy and radiotherapy. A small number of patients with relapses may still be cured by chemotherapy. Chemotherapy can be the first choice for patients in the late stage.

In addition to orchiectomy, patients with non-seminoma also need retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. Chemotherapy can be used as an adjuvant therapy, and radiotherapy can also be combined, but radiotherapy and chemotherapy are not very sensitive to non-seminoma. During radiotherapy and chemotherapy, Chinese medicine can be used in combination to enhance the efficacy and reduce toxic and side effects.
