The male glans, also known as the glans penis, refers to the spherical object developed at the front end of the male genitals. It is formed by the expansion of the front end of the urethral cavernous body. The front end of the development is the urethral opening, which is the entrance and exit of urine and semen. The male genitals can be divided into the glans penis, the body of the penis, and the root of the penis from front to back. For guys with long foreskin, the foreskin must be pulled off to see the glans penis. If the foreskin of an adult is too long and cannot be pulled off to show the glans penis, this is commonly known as prepuce. The area around the coronal sulcus of the glans penis is a dirty area. The residual urine after urination will accumulate between the glans penis and the prepuce, allowing the substances in the urine to settle, germs and bacteria to multiply, and a lot of urine scale will be formed, which will be concentrated in the coronal sulcus. Generally speaking, the urine scale should be cleaned once a day or two to prevent inflammation. Be sure to clean the glans penis and prepuce before sexual intercourse. Proliferative erythema Clinical symptoms are: single or multiple erythema on the glans penis, which can be annular, ring-shaped or irregular, with clear boundaries, slightly raised and hard, and bright surface. Sometimes there may be erosion, scarring or papillary hyperplasia. This disease may not change for many years, or it may become a disease. The cause of erythema proliferatum is unclear, but it mainly occurs in people with long foreskin, so it is believed to be related to long foreskin and irritation from urine scale. I have performed circumcision surgery on several patients with this disease, and the erythema of several of them disappeared of course. Therefore, patients with this disease should basically have their foreskin removed. There is no definite recommendation for the treatment of erythema proliferatum. Some experts and scholars believe in removing the foreskin and closely observing; some doctors believe in freezing or using X-rays to directly irradiate the lesion. In addition, the disease is also called erythematous hyperplasia or bright red hypertrophy. Patients who find erythema on the glans penis must not avoid medical treatment, but should see a urologist in the hospital outpatient department as soon as possible and do a circumcision surgery. Skin horn The clinical symptoms are: a buffalo horn-like protrusion the size of a matchstick or a wooden chopstick grows on the glans penis, which is dark brown or gray-brown and hard in texture. It is believed that it is a tumor produced by the proliferation of keratinocytes in the epidermis on the basis of glans inflammation. Cutaneous horns are considered to be a precancerous lesion. The characteristics of the horn are prominent, so it is not difficult to diagnose. The treatment method is partial removal. It should be emphasized that patients with horns on the glans penis should seek medical attention as soon as possible, and never feel bad or try to remove them by themselves, so as to avoid aggravating the condition or delaying treatment, which may cause serious harm. |
