Candida treatment method, identify the cause and treat it accordingly

Candida is a common conditional pathogenic fungus. Candida infection mainly causes two types of diseases: female candidal vulvovaginitis and male candidal balanoposthitis. To treat Candida, it is necessary to distinguish the cause and carry out targeted treatment.

1: Mainly topical medication, imidazole antifungal drugs are more effective than nystatin. After treatment with imidazole antifungal drugs, 80%-90% of patients have disappeared and Candida culture is negative.

2: 1. Rinse the vulva with 3% sodium bicarbonate solution or perfuse the vagina with 1:5000 gentian violet solution, 1-2 times a day.

3: 2. Nystatin suppository or imidazole antifungal suppository, such as clotrimazole, miconazole, econazole, butoconazole, one tablet every night, inserted deep into the vagina for 1-2 weeks.

4: 3. For vulvitis, imidazole antifungal preparations can be applied externally, such as clotrimazole cream, miconazole cream, econazole cream, ketoconazole cream or bifenazolidone cream.

5: 4. If the above treatment methods are ineffective, the following drugs can be taken orally: ① Ketoconazole, 400 mg per day for 5 days; ② Fluconazole 150 mg single dose orally once; ③ Itraconazole 200 mg, twice a day (one-day treatment) or 200 mg once a day for 3 consecutive days.

1: Rinse the skin injury with saline or 0.1% revulol solution 2-3 times a day. Apply 1%-2% gentian violet solution or the above-mentioned imidazole cream after rinsing.

2: Patients with prepuce hyperplasia should undergo circumcision after recovery to prevent recurrence. Patients with urethritis can take ketoconazole, fluconazole or traconazole orally.

Except for predisposing factors, sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment and the spouse or sexual partner is treated at the same time.
