Renal vascular stenosis, these two major manifestations you must know

Kidney health is very important for men. If the kidneys are not protected in time, it is not only easy to cause kidney deficiency, but also to cause more serious renal vascular diseases, such as renal artery stenosis. What is renal artery stenosis, and what are the obvious clinical symptoms?

1. Renal hypertension

The clinical manifestations are similar to those of primary hypertension, but the medical history has the following characteristics: ① Most patients are under 35 years old and over 55 years old, and the disease is more common in young people; ② The medical history is short and the disease progresses rapidly; ③ The original long-term hypertension suddenly worsens; ④ Abdominal or lumbar pain or a sharp increase in blood pressure after injury (indicating renal artery embolism or renal artery septal aneurysm); ⑤ Most patients have no family history of hypertension; ⑥ The effect of general antihypertensive drugs is unsatisfactory.

2. Ischemic kidney disease

It may or may not be accompanied by renal vascular hypertension. The main manifestation of renal lesions is the slow progressive decline of renal function. Since the renal tubules are sensitive to ischemia, their function declines first (manifestations of distal renal tubular concentration dysfunction such as frequent urination at night, decreased urine specific gravity and osmotic pressure), and then the glomerular function is damaged (the patient's glomerular filtration rate decreases, and serum creatinine increases). Urine changes are often mild (mild proteinuria, often <1g/d, a small amount of red blood cells and casts. In the later stage, the kidney volume shrinks, and the size of the two kidneys is often asymmetric (reflecting the different degrees of renal artery lesions on both sides).

In addition, some patients with renal artery stenosis may have vascular murmurs (high-pitched, rough systolic or biphasic murmurs) in the abdomen or waist.
