What is Chlamydial Prostatitis and how is it treated?

Most patients with chlamydial prostatitis do not know what this disease is, right? What causes chlamydial prostatitis? In fact, it is also one of the types of prostatitis and a sexually transmitted disease. So, how should chlamydial prostatitis be treated?

Steps/Methods:

Since the prostate has a membrane, it is difficult for general drugs to reach directly, so the treatment is time-consuming. In addition, you are now infected with mycoplasma and chlamydia, so you should first do a drug sensitivity test and choose sensitive antibiotics for treatment. If your sensitive drugs are azithromycin and meclocycline, you should take these two drugs first.

If the symptoms are not relieved after 7-14 days of oral or intravenous treatment with the preferred sensitive antibiotic, or if severe or even previously unknown symptoms appear, it is possible that you have become resistant to the sensitive antibiotic. In this case, you should re-do the sensitivity test and choose another sensitive antibiotic for treatment. At this time, you cannot use the azithromycin or meclocycline used above for treatment.

In addition, after the treatment of mycoplasma and chlamydia turns negative, it is not a cure, but the main thing is to treat your own discomfort. If your own perineal swelling and pain, nocturia and frequent urination are all gone, and the prostate fluid examination and rectal B-ultrasound examination are completely normal, then your chronic prostate fluid mycoplasma and mycoplasma have been cured. In a word, the cure is based on the disappearance of symptoms as the main principle, and laboratory tests are just a reference.

Note:

Chronic prostatitis is a long-lasting disease, and patients will have psychological anxiety to some extent, especially those who have not been cured for a long time. However, it is worth reminding that prostatitis is not a terminal disease, and it can be cured. If the patient is infected with mycoplasma, chlamydia or even gonococcus, it is recommended to choose sensitive antibiotics for treatment first. At the same time, during the treatment period, since mycoplasma, chlamydia and gonococcus are easy to cross-infect during the sexual life of couples, contraceptive measures need to be taken.
