Symptoms of bipolar depression and common treatment methods

Bipolar depression is a type of depression, and it is very harmful to people's lives. Generally speaking, after suffering from bipolar depression, patients usually have the following symptoms.

Symptoms of bipolar disorder:

Affective disorders are divided into unipolar disorder, i.e. unipolar depression, and bipolar disorder, i.e. bipolar depression or mania. Unipolar depression is mainly characterized by low mood, while bipolar depression is much more complicated. In addition to depressive symptoms, patients are often accompanied by manic episodes.

Depression is a type of affective disorder, which can be divided into two categories based on the characteristics of its onset: one is unipolar, called "depression". Each episode is characterized by depression. The other is called "bipolar", the full name of which is 'manic depression'. Some episodes are depressive, while others are characterized by excessive excitement, and even loss of self-control, presenting a manic state.

Treatment for bipolar disorder:

Health experts remind that the most important thing for unipolar depression is to try to lead patients out of the depressive state. In addition to drug treatment, behavioral therapy should be used to assist the patient, so that the patient can feel the warmth of life physically and mentally through care and outdoor activities.

For patients with bipolar manic-depressive disorder, since attacks may be more frequent, the first thing to do is to control emotions through medication to prevent injuries caused by excessive emotional attacks. After the emotions are under control, psychological counseling is used to gradually enable them to gain self-control. Emotional stabilization is the first step, and only then can subsequent behavioral treatment be attempted.

In both unipolar and bipolar depression, there are obvious psychomotor and autonomic nervous system signs. The patient shows psychomotor retardation, or slow thinking, speech and general movements, and may even develop to the point of depressive stupor, when all voluntary movements disappear completely. About 15% of depressives may have psychotic symptoms, most commonly seen in melancholy. I hope everyone will remember that if you find symptoms, you must take timely measures.
