Colds are everywhere in our lives, and we are most likely to catch a cold when the weather changes from season to season. Therefore, we can avoid catching a cold only if we know some basic knowledge. So how should we prevent and treat enteritis-related colds? There are several types: 1. Vomiting first and then defecating, the feces have a sour smell, and there is a mild fever: it should be caused by rotavirus (occasionally combined with symptoms of mild respiratory tract infection). 2. Eye discomfort, high fever, acute headache, diarrhea, and nausea: It may be the enterovirus. 3. Throat pain like a knife cutting, difficulty swallowing saliva, dizziness, fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea: it should be an enterovirus infection. 4. Blood in stool, abdominal distension, vomiting and high fever: It is probably Salmonella. This is an emergency and the patient must be sought medical attention immediately. 4. If an infant who has not been weaned has a gastrointestinal cold and has diarrhea, the original milk powder can generally be diluted by one-quarter to one-half, or anti-diarrhea milk powder can be used (no need to dilute, lactose has been removed), and all complementary foods can be stopped. In addition, feeding rice soup or mixing it with milk can also improve gastrointestinal symptoms, and then the concentration of milk can be gradually increased depending on the patient's bowel movements. However, if vomiting and diarrhea are severe, infants and young children are prone to dehydration and need to seek medical treatment. How to prevent and treat gastrointestinal cold? The upper respiratory tract symptoms of patients with gastrointestinal cold are relatively mild, and are mainly characterized by poor appetite, upper abdominal discomfort, acid reflux, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. They are often accompanied by abdominal pain and diarrhea, and the stool is mainly watery and does not contain purulent blood. The following points should be noted in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal cold: (1) After the onset of illness, patients should go to the hospital for blood and stool examinations. If necessary, liver function tests and other related tests should also be performed to rule out diseases caused by other bacteria, such as enteritis, bacterial dysentery, infectious hepatitis, etc.; (ii) Pay attention to the patient's diet. The patient should eat light, easily digestible food in small and frequent meals and avoid eating greasy and irritating food. (III) Pay attention to replenishing water. As patients have frequent diarrhea, they will lose a lot of water and "electrolytes" in their bodies. Therefore, patients should be encouraged to drink small amounts of water frequently, preferably some vegetable soup that is less oily and salty; (iv) Minimize oral anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic drugs to reduce gastrointestinal irritation. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees, go to the hospital for injection of Bupleurum, Antongding, or physical cooling; (V) When necessary, give intravenous fluids and nutrients, especially for children and elderly patients, measures should be taken as early as possible. The total course of gastrointestinal cold is about 7-10 days, and then it will gradually recover. If the above symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consider the possibility of other diseases and go to the hospital for further examination. Don't miss the opportunity. However, after the disease is cured, the patient will have a long period of loss of appetite, fatigue, and abdominal discomfort, so there is a stage that requires diet adjustment and gastrointestinal function recovery. |
