Indications

It nourishes the kidney and strengthens yang, dispels wind and removes dampness. It is mainly used to treat impotence due to kidney deficiency, stranguria, cough, and rheumatism.

Dosage

1. Impotence, premature ejaculation, and spermatorrhea: 200 grams of fresh epimedium, cut into pieces, dry in the sun, decoct in water, or soak in boiling water, 3 times a day. You can also use epimedium tincture (500 grams of epimedium, 1500 ml of white wine, soak in a sealed container for 7 days, filter and set aside), take 10-20 ml each time, 3 times a day. Or use 15 grams each of epimedium and dodder. Grind them into fine powder, 5 grams each time, 3 times a day, boil wine and take for 20 consecutive days.

2. Hemorrhoids: 120g of Epimedium, 90g of Curculigo, 90g of Fried Chinese Yam, 15g of Gallnut. Dry them in the sun, bake them slightly, grind them into powder, take 6g each morning and evening, and mix with salt and boiled water. Suitable for hemorrhoids of Yang deficiency type.

3. Weakness of waist and knees: Folk medicine uses 100g of Epimedium, 50g of Caulis Spatholobi, and 1000g of liquor. After soaking in liquor for 7 days, take 10-15ml each morning and evening.

Contraindications of using Epimedium root

Those with yin deficiency and easily agitated yang fire should not take it.
