There are many reasons for male infertility, one of which is called varicocele. This should not be ignored. It is the main cause of male infertility. What is varicocele? Let us learn about it together. Causes of Varicose Cord Varicose Vesicles First, the spermatic vein valve is congenitally defective or dysfunctional, and is distributed in a cluster-like manner. The smooth muscle or elastic fiber of the venous wall is underdeveloped, and the surrounding supporting tissue is weak, making it easy for venous blood to flow back. Second, the left spermatic vein is longer than the right one, and forms a right angle when entering the left renal vein, which increases the resistance to blood return. Third, the left spermatic cord is also compressed by the sigmoid colon, which can easily cause venous blood return to be obstructed and cause varicose veins. Fourth, the pulsation of the superior mesenteric artery and aorta can increase the pressure of the left renal vein and the left internal spermatic vein. Fifth, although there is a septum in the scrotum, the racemose veins between the left and right testicles are intertwined. Therefore, once the left spermatic vein is varicose, the venous pressure increases. When it reaches a certain level, it may also affect the right spermatic vein and cause bilateral varicose veins. Sixth, young people are very active and have strong sexual impulses, which can easily lead to excessive nerve reflexes in the sexual organs and congestion, causing congestion and varicose veins in the spermatic cord. Frequent sexual intercourse can also easily lead to congestion and varicose veins in the spermatic cord. Early symptoms of varicocele Varicose veins are a common cause of male infertility. The early symptoms of patients include the following four types: 1. Decreased sexual desire Decreased libido is a common symptom of patients with varicocele. Patients may experience decreased sexual pleasure, dyspareunia, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, impotence and other sexual dysfunction symptoms, which may lead to male infertility. 2. Scrotal and testicular swelling and pain Swelling and dull pain in the scrotal testicular area is a typical early symptom of patients with varicocele. This local discomfort will radiate to the perineum, groin, waist, etc. on the same side. The symptoms will worsen after fatigue or long-term walking. It is a characteristic manifestation of the disease and can be distinguished from other diseases. 3. Local tumor Local lesions such as retroperitoneal tumors and kidney tumors are one of the early signs of varicocele. The lesions can easily compress the internal spermatic vein, causing primary or secondary varicocele. The symptoms of primary varicocele can disappear on their own when patients lie flat, while the symptoms of secondary varicocele will not disappear when patients lie flat, and even if they disappear, it will be gradual and slow. 4. Testicular atrophy Testicular atrophy is an early sign of varicocele and one of the main causes of sperm dysfunction, which in turn leads to male infertility. |
