What is the cause of a small lump near the testicle?

If there is a small lump around the male testicle, pay attention to whether it is painful, whether there is local pain, and whether the skin of the scrotum is red. This kind of small lump is more likely to be an epididymal cyst or a swollen epididymal cyst. It is recommended to do an ultrasound examination of the scrotum to distinguish whether this small lump comes from the male testicle or epididymal cyst, and whether it is real or cystic.

A small lump around the male testicle should be taken seriously, because it is a sign of disease, basically considering the symptoms of epididymitis, which is mostly caused by the spread of infection from adjacent organs. The main manifestations of epididymitis are sudden pain in the scrotum, swelling of the epididymal cyst, obvious subtle pain, which may be accompanied by fever, epididymal nodules, etc.

How can men check for epididymitis personally?

Generally, patients with epididymitis will have lumps, which mostly occur at the head or tail of the testicle. Most of them occur at the tail. After the infection of the epididymal cyst, lumps are often left at the tail or head. Data show that acute epididymitis may also be caused by external force squeezing and forming, and there is a feeling that the testicles are ruptured. A large number of causes are still caused by excessive sexual intercourse, especially for teenagers and singles. Orgasm may also cause the occurrence of this disease.

When epididymitis occurs, the white blood cell count will suddenly increase with high fever, swelling and pain in the scrotum of the affected limb, a feeling of heaviness, and referred pain in the lower abdomen and groin, which worsens when standing up or walking. The epididymal cyst of the affected limb is swollen and there is significant tenderness. When the inflammation is very large, the epididymal cyst and male testicles will both swell, and the boundary between the two will not be clear, which is called epididymal cysto-orchitis. The seminal flexure of the affected limb will increase in size and thickness, and there will also be tenderness. It is a symptom of acute epididymitis.

Chronic epididymitis is more common. Some patients become chronic because acute symptoms cannot be completely cured, but most patients do not have confirmed acute symptoms. Inflammation is often secondary to chronic prostatitis or damage. Patients often feel dull pain and bloating in the scrotum of the affected limb. The pain often involves the lower abdomen and groin in the same direction. Sometimes it can be combined with secondary hydrocele. However, when the epididymal cyst is infected, it is usually accompanied by other inflammations. In this case, the difficulty of treatment will also increase.

Causes of epididymitis.

Sterile urine reflux into the vas deferens can cause acid-based chronic epididymitis. Recent studies have found that urine refluxes into the seminal vesicles. Therefore, acid-based chronic epididymitis is one of the causes of chronic epididymitis.

Male prostatectomy, especially transurethral surgery, may cause a large amount of bacteria in the urine for 8 to 12 weeks after the operation. When urinating, the urine can flow back into the vas deferens, causing retrograde infection and causing chronic epididymitis. The infection can also invade the epididymal cyst through the peripheral lymphatic vessels.

Chronic epididymitis may be secondary to prostatitis or urinary tract infection. Therefore, secondary infection is also a key factor in causing chronic epididymitis.

When a man finds a small lump around his testicles, he must pay great attention to it. Don't think that it can disappear automatically. For male testicles, we must not ignore any facts. If there is any abnormality, we should go to the hospital for examination and treatment. Because it is a key position, we naturally have to take extra care of it.
