What are the symptoms of scrotal genital warts?

Genital warts are a common disease in men and women in our daily life. When people hear about sexually transmitted diseases, they always feel that it is a kind of loss that is difficult to say. In this case, they are even less willing to understand and treat it. If it continues for a long time, it will not only affect their own health, but also have a great impact on their loved ones. So, what are the symptoms of genital warts?

Experts point out that condyloma acuminatum is a growth-like organism growing around the scrotum, the site of disease occurrence. It can also grow on the perineum, glans penis, and the vulva and vagina of women.

Condyloma acuminatum of the scrotum mostly occurs in young people. The course of condyloma acuminatum progresses slowly. Most patients accidentally discover a painless wart-like growth on their genitals. The incubation period is 3 weeks to 8 months, with an average of 3 months. It is more common in sexually active young and middle-aged men and women, with the peak age of onset being 20-25 years old. The average course of the disease is 3-5 months for male and female patients, and the disease occurs shortly after sexual contact. For male patients with an average course of the disease of 12 months, their sexual contacts may not develop the disease.

Scrotal condylar warts are initially light red or dirty red millet-sized growths that are soft in nature and slightly pointed at the top, gradually growing or increasing in number. They can develop into papillary or cystic shapes, with a slightly wide base or bands, and granules on the surface.

Most patients are asymptomatic. The size and shape of the lesions vary. There may be only a few or multiple needle-sized lesions. They may grow into large tumor-like masses in the anus and genitals, causing a sense of oppression and a foul odor. Sometimes small warts may cause itching and discomfort in the genitals, and the patient may experience hematuria and dysuria. Condyloma acuminatum in the rectum may cause pain and blood in the stool, while large warts in the rectum may cause a feeling of tenesmus.

Condyloma acuminatum is generally caused by human papillomavirus infection and is contagious. It is common in men on the foreskin, coronal sulcus, urethra, penis, around the anus and scrotum, and in women it generally causes epithelial hyperplasia. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a relevant examination in time and pay attention to maintaining local cleanliness and hygiene. Currently, treatment is somewhat difficult and comprehensive treatment must be used. Treatment is usually divided into two steps: removing the wart and preventing recurrence. There are many methods of external treatment, including: 1. surgical therapy, 2. laser therapy, 3. electrocautery therapy, 4. microwave therapy, 5. β-ray therapy, 6. drug therapy, etc. After the treatment, the results must be reviewed for more than 3 times without the formation of warts and the serum test is normal. It is considered cured. In normal times, attention should be paid to resolutely put an end to sexual promiscuity, prevent contact infection, and pay attention to personal hygiene.

The care of condyloma acuminatum should pay attention to keeping the lesion area clean, wipe off the secretion in time, and use warm salt water to scrub the affected area, and change clean cotton underwear every day; sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment. Close observation after surgery, if no warts grow out, no treatment is required. Diet: Avoid spicy food, seafood, tobacco and alcohol. Eat more fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk and foods high in vitamins. After three months of cure without recurrence, you can have sex with a condom, and after 6 to 8 months without recurrence, you can have normal sex.

The above is an introduction to the symptoms of scrotal genital warts. I believe that friends who did not know much about it before should have learned a lot. In fact, many things in our lives are related to health. Everyone must pay attention to having good living habits and eating habits, so that their health will not be harmed by diseases.
