What are the examination items for orchitis?

When a man has orchitis, he must go to a regular hospital for examination. We also need to have a certain understanding of orchitis. Orchitis is often a complication caused by urinary tract infection and prostate seminal vesiculitis. When we have acute orchitis, we will have symptoms such as high fever, redness and swelling, urinary urgency, and pain on the affected side of the scrotum. So for people with orchitis, what items should be checked in the hospital?

Tests for orchitis include:

1. Observe the patient's physical signs: symptoms of mumps or other acute infectious diseases. One or both testicles are enlarged and painful when pressed. After an acute attack, the testicles are enlarged and painful, the scrotum is red and swollen, and there are no urinary tract symptoms. The boundary with the epididymis is unclear. Sometimes acute testicular hydrocele occurs.

(1) In the acute phase, the white blood cell count increases.

(2) Hematospermia may occur in patients with epididymitis or prostatitis.

(3) Some patients may have urethral discharge, which can be examined by smear and bacteriological examination.

(4) White blood cells or pus cells may be found in urine.

2. Differential diagnosis of orchitis: It needs to be differentiated from acute epididymitis clinically. Inflammed epididymis can be found in the early stage of acute disease, but it is easy to be blurred in the later stage. The absence of urethral secretions and purulent urethral tissue without systemic infectious diseases can help with diagnosis.

Through the above knowledge, we know that orchitis is not a minor disease, and we also know the symptoms of orchitis. When you have orchitis, you must go to the hospital and let the doctor check it. Don't be ashamed to see a doctor and ignore it blindly. The editor here also reminds everyone that when you have orchitis, you should not blindly take medicine by yourself. This is a taboo in treating the disease.
