What are the symptoms of prostatitis?

Prostatitis is a common disease among men. There are many reasons for this symptom, most of which are related to bacterial infection and autoimmunity. When this symptom occurs, it should be treated in time, because prostatitis may lead to infertility and may also cause other diseases. So what are the symptoms of prostatitis? Let's take a look!

Prostatitis refers to acute or chronic inflammation caused by specific or non-specific infection of the prostate, which causes systemic or local symptoms. Prostatitis can be divided into non-specific bacterial prostatitis, idiopathic bacterial prostatitis (also known as prostatitis), specific prostatitis (caused by gonococci, tuberculosis, fungi, parasites, etc.), non-specific granulomatous prostatitis, prostatitis caused by other pathogens (such as viruses, mycoplasmas, chlamydia, etc.), prostate congestion and prostatitis.

1. Acute bacterial prostatitis: sudden onset, with chills and high fever, frequent urination, urgency, pain, dysuria or acute urinary retention. Clinically, it is often accompanied by acute cystitis, prostate swelling, tenderness, local temperature increase, smooth surface, and a feeling of fullness or fluctuation when abscesses form.

2. Chronic bacterial prostatitis: frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, urethral discomfort or burning during urination, white secretions often flow out of the urethra after urination and defecation, sometimes hematospermia, perineal pain, sexual dysfunction, mental and neurological symptoms, full, enlarged, soft, mildly tender prostate, long-term course of the disease, the prostate shrinks, hardens, the surface is incomplete, and there are small nodules.

3. Chronic nonbacterial prostatitis and prostatitis: The clinical manifestations are similar to those of chronic bacterial prostatitis, but there is no history of recurrent urinary tract infections. The main symptoms are urinary tract irritation and dysuria, especially the manifestations of chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Mycoplasma and chlamydia can be cultured in the prostatic fluid of some patients.

As can be seen from the above, when prostatitis occurs, the symptoms are varied. If you have the above symptoms, it is best to go to a professional and regular hospital for examination. Taking timely measures for treatment is the wisest choice. It is better to find out the cause in time and treat the symptoms. In addition, you must develop hygienic habits in normal times.
