Many men have found that their testicles are not symmetrical. Most people have a larger right testicle than the left. However, since there are no other symptoms, most men choose to keep this phenomenon private and do not want to tell anyone. In fact, this phenomenon is quite common. So why is the right testicle larger than the left? How to solve it? The testicles are part of the reproductive organs of male animals. They are located in the scrotum and are elliptical in shape. Their main function is to produce sperm and secrete male hormones. During human sexual intercourse, the testicles also secrete some mucus to help with sexual intercourse. It is common for male testicles to be asymmetrical, with one sagging more and the other sagging less. Testicles are male internal reproductive organs. Normal men have two testicles, one on the left and one on the right side of the scrotum. Testicles are oval and grayish white. Adult testicles are 3.5-4.5 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, 1-2 cm thick, and weigh 10-15 grams per testicle. Generally, the left testicle is about 1 cm lower than the right testicle. Some people have one testicle that is larger than the other, or one that is higher than the other. If the difference is not too big, it is normal. There are a large number of curved seminiferous tubules in the testicles, which contain interstitial cells. The seminiferous tubules are where sperms are produced. The number of sperms produced in a man's lifetime is astonishing. A single ejaculation of 3-4 ml contains 300-400 million sperms, or as few as 100-200 million. The number of sperms produced in a lifetime can reach more than 1 trillion. The production of sperms is easily affected by many factors, such as temperature. If the temperature around the testicles is too high or affected by chemical toxins, sperm production will be impaired. Interstitial cells produce androgens, which are closely related to male secondary sexual characteristics and physiological functions. The individual variation of testicle volume in normal adult men is great, and the testicles on both sides of normal people are not exactly the same. According to statistics, the right testicle is slightly larger than the left one, with the average size of the right side being 3.38×2.27×1.71 cm and the left side being 3.30×2.37×1.78 cm. Even people in the same age group have different testicle sizes. The testicles of normal adults can be as large as 25 ml, while the smaller ones may only be a few ml. It is generally believed that adults with testicles less than 10 ml are called microtestes. The testicles of normal people are not equal on both sides, but the difference is not too big. If the testicles on both sides are within the normal size range, it will not affect fertility. As can be seen from the above, the inconsistency of testicle size is mostly a normal phenomenon and generally does not require treatment as long as the body is healthy. It should be noted that although the testicles on both sides are different, they are not much different in size. If one testicle is significantly larger than the other, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination to rule out diseases. |
