How to test sperm survival rate?

Sperm is a substance secreted by the male reproductive organ. If it combines with the female egg, it will make the female pregnant. There is a certain amount of sperm in men, and it also has a certain survival rate. Only healthier sperm can survive longer and make the female more likely to get pregnant. So, how do you test the sperm survival rate? Let's take a look!

Measurement method

Low sperm viability is measured based on three parameters: quality, quantity, and time.

(1) Mix one drop of semen with one drop of 0.5% blue aurantium solution (prepared with distilled water).

(2) Add 2 drops of 10% aniline black (nigzosin) (prepared with distilled water) and mix thoroughly.

(3) Make a semen smear, dry it in air, and observe it under a 400x microscope or a 1000-1250x oil microscope.

(4) Live sperm are not stained on a red plate, while dead sperm are stained red. Count 200 sperm to determine the percentage of live sperm.

Notes

1. Change bad living habits and quit smoking and drinking. Frequent smoking will have a great impact on the quality of sperm. After drinking, 70% of the sperm of men will be abnormal, and even if they conceive, it may cause fetal maldevelopment.

2. Pay attention to rest and avoid overwork. Men with high work pressure and lack of sleep can easily cause physical fatigue, irritability, and endocrine disorders, thus affecting sexual function and sperm quality.

3. Develop a good habit of exercising. Low immunity, obesity and weak body will reduce the quality of sperm. If you can exercise properly, it can also increase the activity of sperm invisibly.

4. Pay attention to your diet and take more nutrients. The production of sperm requires a variety of vitamins, proteins, calcium, zinc and other nutrients. An unreasonable diet will cause congenital sperm deficiency. Therefore, men should pay attention to whether their own nutrition is up to par.

5. Clean and hygienic sex life is also good for sperm quality. If the couple does not pay attention to hygiene during sex, local infection may be introduced, or some common gynecological diseases may be transmitted to their sexual partners through living together. Therefore, men should pay attention to hygienic sex life to reduce infection and improve sperm quality.

The survival rate of sperm is also related to the probability of pregnancy. If you want to have a child, you naturally need the male to be healthy and have strong sperm. How to detect the survival rate of sperm? The above article also briefly introduces that if you want a high sperm survival rate, you must pay attention to your personal life and develop good eating and rest habits!
