What causes testicular pain in men?

Testicular pain is a symptom that men are sometimes ashamed to talk about. Testicular pain is testicular soreness, a very common male reproductive infection that has a great impact on the health of men. In severe cases, it can even lead to male infertility. Therefore, once men experience testicular soreness, they must find out the cause and treat it in time. So what is the cause of male testicular pain?

Testicular soreness is commonly seen in clinical cases of nonspecific orchitis and mumps orchitis, which is one of the common causes of male infertility. The specific introduction is as follows:

1. Chronic non-specific orchitis: Chronic orchitis is mostly caused by incomplete treatment of non-specific acute orchitis. It can also be caused by fungal, spirochetal, or parasitic infections, such as testicular syphilis. Granulomatous orchitis may occur in patients with previous testicular trauma. Local or whole-body radioactive isotope phosphorus irradiation of the testicles can also cause orchitis and damage the testicular tissue.

2. Acute non-specific orchitis: Acute non-specific orchitis often occurs in patients with urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, prostatectomy and long-term indwelling catheters. The infection spreads to the epididymis through the lymph or vas deferens, causing epididymal orchitis. Common pathogens are E. coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Bacteria can spread to the testicles through the bloodstream, causing simple orchitis. However, the testicles have rich blood supply and strong resistance to infection, so this situation is relatively rare.

3. Acute mumps orchitis: Mumps is the most common cause of orchitis. About 20% of mumps patients have orchitis. It is more common in late adolescence. The testicles are highly enlarged and purple-blue in color.

From the above introduction, we should have a clear understanding of the main causes of male testicular pain, and we should also deeply realize that male testicular pain is not a disease that should be ignored. We should take this disease seriously. Once the testicles are painful, we should immediately go to a professional hospital to see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Don't cause irreparable consequences due to your own negligence.
